View of professional public on children's homes and foster care

The work deals with suitability of children's homes and foster care. It is considered based on their abilities to fulfil psychological needs of children and minors. In addition, the work deals with the possible way of these two forms of substitutional care on affecting mental development of their wards. Children's home, foster care and their historical evolution up to the present form in our country are described in the first half of this work. Furthermore, the term family and parenthood and their possible forms in the past and present are described. Children's and minors' needs, particularities of individual development phases in childhood and maturing, are described in this work as well. The suitability of children's homes and foster care, based on opinions of the authors of professional publications and ideas of professional public, are mentioned in the second part of the work. In conclusion, a part of this work commits to the way electronic mass media deal with this issue and which point of view they transfer to the non-professional public. The main result of the diploma thesis is that these three groups predominantly prefer the foster care to children's home. Primarily for the reason of real family environment which, unlike the children's home, the foster care can provide. Despite this fact, these groups are aware of the necessity of children's homes which, in some cases, could be a more convenient alternative to a birth family.
Psychological aspects of foster care

The thesis deals with the psychological aspects of foster care, which we can define in this context as the perspective of a foster relationship and its impact on the child and foster parent. This thesis describes the psychological needs of the child, there are also defined consequences of psychological deprivation, such as psychological deprivation. It also analyzes the emotional attachment, the manifestations of its disorder and possible treatment. In addition to the analysis of children placed in foster care, this thesis also focuses on a foster parent. From this aspect, the motivation for substitute parenthood, as well as the difference between expectations and reality, is evaluated. Thesis also points to the relationship between the foster parent and the child, with all the impacts, difficulties and mistakes that foster parents can make during their upbringing. At the end of this thesis are presented the practical principles for the successful and long-term functioning of the foster relationship.
The use of color modification of Wartegg drawing test with children living out of own family

The bachelor thesis is focused on one of the typical manifestations of children living in children?s homes in the colour modification of the Wartegg drawing test. The theoretical part of the work was elaborated by analysis of scientific literature. It provides some information about projective techniques and their use, about children?s drawing, family, emotional development of early - school age and inadequate care of the child. Consecutively there are chapters introducing the foster and adoptive family care and institutional care. The aim of the theoretical part is the characteristic of the Wartegg drawing test, its colour modification and the exploratory group. In the empirical part we find the analysis of the drawings of children from children?s homes obtained with the colour modification of the Wartegg drawing test. In the thesis there is stated the description of the content and formal marks and the analysis of each field of the test. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to describe typical marks in the colour modification of the Wartegg drawing test with children living out of own family, especially in children?s homes.
Possibilities and Limits of Substitute Family Care

The paper deals with the importance of substitute family care in the Czech Republic. Theoretical part characterizes possibilities of substitute family care, importance of family and its ambiance. Next, it describes risk and protective factors and substitute family, focuses on institutional treatment of children and possible problems of child{\crq}s socialization. Practical part contains casuistics and comparison of two chosen cases: case of successful and unsuccessful substitute family care. Both cases have good intention. They offer further view into problems of substitute family care. Its quality is not related only to those who decided to take abandoned child into their family but lies also in the child itself and not forgetting in abilities of workers securing substitute family care.
