Draft measures against floods in the basin of a small watercourse Mlýnka
Řeháková, Adéla ; Jaroš,, Lubomí (referee) ; Starý, Miloš (advisor)
This thesis is concerned with protection against flooding in the basin of a small watercourse Mlýnka. The aim is to get information about runoff in the watershed and the proposal dry reservoir as flood measure. The first part of thesis deals with the survey watershed, getting materials, schematisation watershed, constructing rainfall-runoff process. In the second part is designed dry reservoir. Schematisation has been made using ArcGIS, rainfall-runoff process was done in software HYDROG and drawings have been processed by AutoCAD.
Assessment of selected parts of the sewer system in the village
Balas, Jan ; Úterský, Michal (referee) ; Hluštík, Petr (advisor)
The Bachelor´s thesis is focused on software products in hydraulic design and assessment of sewer networks. The thesis is consist of research part, where the commonly used programs in Czech Republic and abroad are listed. The next part aims to describe hydro-dynamic simulation model Storm Water Managment Model, which is free to download from U.S. EPA websites. The practical part deals with creating a model of the sewer network by the SWMM and hydraulic assessment of selected parts of the sewer system in the village Lipůvka, South - Moravian region.
Simulating flows in a measure profile using artificial intelligence methods
Pavelková, Růžena ; BBA, Šárka Zemanová, (referee) ; Kozel, Tomáš (advisor)
The thesis examines the possibility of using artificial intelligence methods for simulating average daily flows in selected measure profiles. In the theoretical part the main factors of the rainfall-runoff process and the methods used in the practical part are described. The practical part of the thesis deals with the construction of two models. The first model predicts the flow for episodes emanating only from rain events, the second model additionally considers snow cover. Artificial intelligence methods, specifically neural networks, are used to build the model, which are created in the MATLAB working environment. The selected criteria were used to evaluate the outputs of the models. Finally, the limits of applicability of the developed models containing neural networks were determined. In general, acceptable results were achieved.
Analysis of flood events in the Upper Opava river source area
Lautnerová, Lucie ; Kliment, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Langhammer, Jakub (referee)
Present days are characterized by raising awareness of natural hazards, especially the risk of flood events. Extreme floods are connected with large - scale material damage and also endanger human lives. That's why the issue of flood formation and its possibility of forecasting has became disccused topic these days. Research of passed floods provides principles of effective flood protection in specific area. The main aim of this thesis is to analyse flood events that passed in the uper Opava river basin, concretely the source area containing the Černá, Střední and Bílá Opava river basins. This analysis refers about the flood frequency, different seasonal regime of floods occurence and looks for the relationship between atmospheric conditions and origin of flood events in the period of 1963 to 1997. Part of this thesis also summarizes main types of floods raised in the source area and compares different flood threat of the Černá, Střední and Bílá Opava rivers. There is also mentioned some basic differences of drainage formation, natural conditions and rainfall distribution in specific catchment area.
