Development of elementary musical skills for pre-school children with the help of the soprano flute playing

The work is focused on children in pre-school age and on development of their musicality through game in the nursery school team. This age group is also briefly described from the physical, mental and emotional point of view. Almost all its chapters include practical exercises at first breathing exercises, then the movement ones with including practising fine motor skills and at the end there are games with fipple flute. These are preceded by a short description of development of this musical instrument starting from its origin up to this day and justification of its use in nursery schools as a possibility to increase the group of Orff musical instruments. This work also introduces some eminent Czech musical teachers (prof. Václav Žilka, prof. PhDr. Eva Jenčková, CSc., Petr Eben, Kvapils, PaeDr. Alena Tichá PhD., Mgr. Zdeněk Šimanovský) and their methodology, that includes besides other things suitable games for the age of 3 - 6. These have also been an inspiration for creating some of our own plays with flute.
The double-reed brass,the history, and the methodology of playing the oboe

This thesis is interested in the history of the double-reed brass from the primeval ages until nowadays. It also briefly presents the process of production of the musical instrument called oboe. The significant names of composers and interpreters for oboe are mentioned as well. The thesis also deals with the current form of oboe, bassoon and other similar musical instruments. In the last of three parts of this thesis the methodology of teaching to play the oboe is mentioned. This part describes qualification for playing the oboe, the right posture, and the technique of breathing and embouchure. The methodology is also focused on the function of appliance in the oboe and the creation of tones. The thesis provides guidelines for right home exercises and it briefly describes the process of teacher?s work in lessons.
The development of musicality in children at a pre-school age with a focus on correct breathing while playing the flute.
KOLÁŘOVÁ, Lucie
The aim of this bachelor thesis was to introduce the musicalness of the pre-school-aged children and its development. Topics connected with fipple flute - its history, application during teaching of the pre-school-aged children and mainly chapters focusing on the correct breathing while playing the instrument, can also be found in the work. The thesis mentions a distinguished Czech teacher of the fipple flute Vaclav Zilka and his cooperator docent Vit Petrů. Professor Zilka has continued his project called "The Wooden Flute" with another project - "Healing Flute" and significantly contributed to the recovering process of the children afflicted with asthma and other breathing difficulties. He has also created a well-organized and a simple-to-use course book fot small flute players, which involves basis of playing the musical instrument as well as several practical breathing exercises.
