Consumers Use and Understanding of Food Label Information and Effect on their Purchase Decision: Case Study in Accra, Ghana

This research investigated consumers' use and comprehension of Food Label Information and the impact on their purchase decision in Accra, Ghana. It also helped in the understanding of most of the information read by purchasers as well as the type of information they sought. The examination studied 150 customers who were chosen randomly in the city and interviewed. Structured Questionnaires were defined to sample information and data from these customers on their use and knowledge regarding Food Label Information. The result proposes that food label information is an essential source of new learning that guides shoppers while doing some purchasing. This demonstrates an extraordinary tendency of consumers’ utilization of food label and consequently impact or changes their purchasing decision.
