Post-stroke physiotherapy treatment: A case study

Title: Post-stroke physiotherapy treatment: A case study Aim: Brief review of current knowledge of stroke, with emphasis on rehabilitation possibilities; followed by a case study. Summary: The theoretical part of the thesis introduces the issue from the epidemiological point of view, provides stroke definition and classification according to the mechanism of origin, deals with risk factors and possibilities of prevention. Within the clinical signs, more attention is paid to the topic of spastic hemiparesis. The following text outlines the course of stroke treatment. The rehabilitation process, its possibilities and techniques, including the use of modern technologies and virtual reality, are described in more detail. In the empirical part, a case report of a patient after haemorrhagic stroke with right-sided spastic hemiparesis and global aphasia is presented. Keywords: spastic hemiparesis, rehabilitation
