Capital structure optimization of the N+N - Konstrukce a dopravní stavby Litoměřice Ltd company

This Bachelor's Thesis examines the possibility of Ltd company capital structure optimization by the application of different financial analysis, methods and theories. The N+N - Konstrukce a dopravní stavby Litoměřice Ltd company, which was taken for this purpose, is an object of analysis: its financial condition has been studied and observed for the last 5 years. Solvency, profitability and debts rate are assessed from the look of long- and short-term horizon, as the costs of Equity, Liabilities and whole capital are estimated as well. Some theory-based appropriate options, which could provide an attainment of the capital structure optimization state, are subsequently offered. Performed analysis enables to conclude that in terms of certain requirements firms should applicate capital structure optimizing theory due to its useful assistance in making decisions in field of the capital profitability increase.
Innovation in Small and Medium-Size Businesses

This thesis is focused on the meaning and importance of innovations for small and medium sized businesses. The theoretical part deals with the terms necessary to understand this issue, such as the definition of small and medium sized enterprises; the definition of innovations; and their connection with the strategy and competitiveness of the organisation. Also, the innovation processes, methods, techniques and the support for basic innovation within the EU is described here. In the practical part of my diploma thesis, research on a selected sample of small and medium firms is conducted. This research is concerned with the level of innovations these particular companies are focusing on; in which area of business activities are they innovating; what sources of financing they're reporting in their results.
Funding opportunities for a public benefit corporation - impact on accounting and tax regime

This thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part describes non-profit organizations in general. The practical part deals with the evaluation of different funding sources of a chosen non-profit organization and their impact on accounting and tax treatment. Individual goals include keying of costs and revenues, describing the changes in the operating grant received in the individual observed years and inflation in the previous year, between subsidies and the number of pupils and the ratio of operating subsidies for school fees and income from additional activities.
Financing and marketing strategy of the non-profit organization

This thesis focuses on the non-profit organization called Vítkův Hrádek, particularly it explores the sources of financing for its activities. It also examines the effect of current marketing strategy on the ability to obtain required funding sources. The study concludes with the overall assessment of the findings, as well as several proposals of certain measures that could improve the overall financial situation of the organization.

The main aim of this thesis is to describe the financing and the accounting of the allowance organizations established by the local authority and apply the theoretical principles into practice so that it can be analyzed economy and evaluated the financial statements of the Primary and Nursery School for the visually impaired and speech disorders, Pilsen. The partial aim is to compare the financing of selected primary schools in the Pilsen region according to the various sources of financing.

The aim of this thesis is to introduce the basic terminology used in the financial management, to characterize the development of financing business field and the availability of various funding sources. To elaborate particularly the area of bank credit products and tools for their comparison. To analyze the current condition of funding sources and suggest prospective measures in the financing structure considering the requirements of corporate strategy in selected unnamed company. The thesis is divided into two parts, a theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part includes basic terms and relations between them. In the practical part there is an analysis of funding sources of the company from 2008 to 2010 and there is determined the most optimal funding source for the investment project, which is the purchase of recycling and sorting line.

The diploma thesis "Investment controlling and its application in a particular company" focuses on principle features of investment controllership and its application in practice. The theoretical part summarizes theoretical knowledge of the field of the investment decision-making and investment controllership. Attention is devoted specially to basic terms and methods used in this field. The practical part deals with analyses of recent stage of investment controllership usage in the ABC, s. r. o. company. According to project results the advantages and insufficiencies of recent stage are evaluated including suggestions for future improvements.
Analysis of the process of Initial Public Offerings with reference to cases of Vonage Holdings Corp. and Youku.com Inc.

This thesis is focused on the issuance of Initial Primary Offerings of shares, with an emphasis on the development of the worldwide IPOs. The first part of the thesis deals with the types of possible sources of financing of the company and the factors that affect their selection. In the next section it shows a characteristic of an IPO from the company's point of view-- a candidate for IPO. In this section are described the motivation and the assumptions of the company undergoing IPO as well as the advantages and disadvantages which the IPO can bring to a company. The following section describes in detail the process of issuing the IPO, it is divided into several main sections and is focused on the Czech market. Further work describes the world development of IPO activity. Here are shown the count and volumes which were carried out in the recent years. Furthermore there is the current status and future trends in the major world markets (the Chinese, the United States and the European). In the final part of the thesis, an analysis of both macro/micro-economic conditions and success of two IPOs, for a Chinese technology company Youku.com Inc. (performed in December 2010) and an American Internet dial-up company Vonage Holding Corp. (implemented in May 2006), is carried out.
Financing of the company in relation to the individual phases of its life cycle

The objective of the presented thesis is to classify the company objectives in the individual phases of its life cycle, to characterise the performance parameters of the company and the sources of financing in relation to the individual phases of its life cycle. We also analyse the performance of a sample company from the South Bohemia region and we assess the existing forms of its financing. Based on this we consider the use of other forms of financing and estimate the impact on the economic results of the company. In the theoretical part we first explain the notions company and business and the individual life cycle phases. Then we discuss the performance of the company in the individual phases of its life cycle. Another chapter focuses on the sources of financing. There are characterised the individual financial resources, divided according to various criteria. We also describe the advantages and disadvantages of the given sources of financing. The practical part contains calculations, tables, graphs and relevant comments on the received values. We assessed the situation of the company Mauring spol. s r.o., that deals in civil engineering in the building industry. We mapped the development of the company in years 1997, 2000, 2003, 2005 and 2008. We analysed the performance of the company with respect to the assessment of the forms of its financing. We also assessed the liquidity and the indebtedness. The return indicators are then compared with the average in the industry. Another part of the work focused on the assessment of the forms of financing of the sample company. We also applied the balancing rules for the company. In the final chapter we assess other forms of financing and the possible impact on the economic results of the company. The final assessment contains a summary of the achieved results as well as my own recommendations for the company {--} what should be focused on in the future in order to improve the performance of the company.
The utilization of different sources of finance in company investment policy

The aim of this final work was to analyse a company´s investment decision while considering the possibility of using different financial sources and on the basis of the analysis to choose the most advantageous financing alternative of the chosen investment. The discounted costs method was applied to the relevant calculations to sum up the investment efficiency, which was acquisite of different financial sources. The substance of that method is particular options comparing in term of their total costs of investments and discounted operating costs for the whole service life. The most of the companys´ investment decisions aim is the financing sources security with the minimum average capital costs.
