Therapeutic workshops as a tool for potential development of individuals with mild and moderate mental retardation

The bachelor thesis is concentrated on the social therapeutic workshops as a tool for potential development of individuals with mild and moderate mental retardation. The aim of this work is to determine whether using of social therapy workshops leads to a change of social and work skills of investigated group of people. This work is divided into two parts. The theoretical part characterizes mentally disabled people, teh classification and etiology of the mental disability. It is also dedicated to the education of people with mental disability and the social services for these people with, specifically social therapeutic workshops. Furthermore it describes the social work with these people and their social and work skills. In the practical part there is defined teh aim of this work, the research questions, there is also the description of the field of research, the methods a technigues of survey and the description of the investigated sample. Finnaly we can find there the schedule of research, the presentation and summary of results of the research.
