Complex Analysis of a Volleyball Service and Its Influence on a Succes Rate of Pass in VK Jihostroj ČB

The analytical part of the bachelor thesis deals with the systematics of volleyball and individual game activities, with the main focus on serving and receiving. In contemporary volleyball, serving is an activity that significantly influences the outcome, as every set begins with a battle between one team's serve and the opponent's pass. In the synthetic part of the, thesis, we have included a comprehensive analysis of the effectiveness of smashing and gliding serves in men's volleyball. This analysis focused on measuring the speed of the serve and then evaluating the quality of the opponent's reception. Furthermore, the percentage frequency of the smash and glide serve was determined and evaluated, the quality of the serve was evaluated as a function of speed, error rate, and pass success rate. Based on these data and findings, conclusions were drawn on which serve is used more frequently and its success rate in relation to speed in the VK Jihostroj České Budějovice.
