Revitalisation of river
Kult, Jan ; Gernešová, Lenka (referee) ; Šlezingr, Miloslav (advisor)
The aim of my project was revitalization of the selected section of the watercourse. The subject of revitalizing modifications is the reduction slope of the bottom, supplemented by a catchment grades and a boulder slip. Other modification is reducing the tendency of banks and new draft of accompanying vegetation.
Fluid flow in open chanels
Netopilík, Jan ; Haluza, Miloslav (referee) ; Štigler, Jaroslav (advisor)
Water has been, is and will be an integral and crucial part of everyday life of all people. Since ancient times people have been transporting water by channels not only for irrigation. The aim of this thesis is to get acquainted with the theory of its behavior in artificial canals. Then show one of the ways how to solve a channel that has a zero bottom slope.
Splaveninová study of a selected flow
Zouhar, Radim ; Maleňák,, Jaroslav (referee) ; Veselý, Jaroslav (advisor)
The bachelor thesis focuses on determination of sediments amount in Svitava river and Křtinský potok, which flows into Svitava river in Adamov. Elements are sedimented at the riverbed bottom if the resulting force caused by the water stream on particles is smaller than the gravitational force. Elements can get into the stream both by washing from surrounding terrain and by material erosion of the riverbed which happens more frequently. Therefore another part of this thesis is suggesting of suitable stabilization measures and flood protection of selected objects. The capacity of riverbeds becomes smaller due to their sedimentation. Particle-size characteristics of sediment runoffs have been prepared and thus the amount of sediment runoffs has been calculated and critically evaluated.
Associations of fish with various types of littoral habitats in reservoirs
ŠMEJKAL, Marek
The study investigated fish habitat association within littoral habitat of four Czech reservoirs. Three most common habitats within reservoir: beaches (former meadows), stump fields (former forest) and rubble slopes were chosen for the study. The patterns of fish biomass, abundance and species structure were analysed based on robust data obtained from gillnet sampling. Adult bream Abramis brama, white bream Blicca bjoerkna and roach Rutilus rutilus were associated with beaches and stump fields with gentle slope of the bank, whereas perch Perca fluviatilis, ruffe Gymnocephalus cernuus, asp Leuciscus aspius and pike Esox lucius were associated with rubble slopes. We demonstrated fish species are not distributed homogeneously in the littoral and that that most common species are associated with distinct habitats.

Study of revitalisation of the part of Karlický creek
Svobodová, Gabriela ; Gregar, Jan (advisor)
This thesis deals with a revitalization action suggestion in the chosen part of Karlický creek in the district of Dobřichovice. The points of the thesis are to collect information material, to explore studied area, to evaluate current situation of creek and to suggest of revitalization actions, to return natural character of creek. In the studied area was made terrain survey, on which are based the suggestions of revitalization measures with appropriate accompanying vegetation. Hereafter this thesis deals with successfully realized revitalization measures of water flows in the Czech Republic. The results were processed in the form of evaluated situation of the creek and suggested revitalization measures.

The importance of various types of littoral habitats for fish in reservoirs
ŠMEJKAL, Marek
The aim of this study was to evaluate fish habitat preferences in three various types of littoral habitats (beaches, rubble slopes and stumps). Data originated from four Czech canyon-shaped reservoirs. This study showed that habitats differed in biomass and abundance of fish as well as in species compositions. Patterns in biomass, abundance and species preferences were the same even under different community structures of sampled reservoirs.
