The thesis deals with various forms of water use in the garden space, including their historical development. As the proposed territory the lands of a now disappeared complex of the spa in the village Petrov were chosen. The spa was in operation from the 16th century until 1987. The theoretical part of the thesis was elaborated in the form of a literary review dealing with the importance of water in the public space and landscape, the characteristics of spa industry, the changes in water usage in different cultures and in different historical periods, the psychological effects of water, the sociocultural aspect of water, the philosophical nature of water, the symbolism or the contemporary possibilities of its usage in garden spaces. The analytical part presents the results of field surveys and further investigation. The results of the analyzes are interpreted through graphical outputs and written conclusions are drawn from them. The basics for the design part of the thesis were based on the theoretical and analytical part of the thesis. The design is presented by a situation which suitability is further verified through cutting-in perspectives and perspectives.
