Education Computer Program for Trigonometry
Plíšek, Martin ; Kubíček, Radek (referee) ; Štancl, Vít (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with teaching math's problems. Main objective is teaching goniometry functions for basic schools. There have been made two applications for these purposes. First application named Goniometrie is oriented to teach goniomety functions on projection onto rectangular triangle or by presentation graphs of these functions. Second application is example editor ( Editor ), which is designed to creating examples for application Goniometrie . These examples can be useful for teaching.
ECG Generator in LabVIEW
Bayerová, Zuzana ; Tannenberg,, Milan (referee) ; Sekora, Jiří (advisor)
Bachelor thesis describes the principles of cardiac activity and deals with problems in the ECG signal. In an environment LabVIEW program was created a virtual instrument that generates the ECG signal. On the basis of familiarity with the methods for generating ECG signal method was used, using the similar sections of ECG curves with sinusoidal and triangular course. Virtual device allows you to change the heart rate and amplitude of waves and oscillations. It is possible to simulate a disturbances in the physiology of the heart. For example, different types of AV block, sinus, supraventricular and ventricular arrhythmias.
Goniometric functions and their inverses
Šimková, Jana ; Kvasz, Ladislav (advisor) ; Nižňanská, Kristýna (referee)
This bachelor thesis shows four basic ways how to introduce trigonometric and cyclometric functions. The work is primarily intended for high school students who have encountered some of these introductions at school. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to show comprehensive definitions of trigonometric functions and cyklometric functions according to various methods and to present their basic properties. The aim of the work is also to show the difference and transition between introductions and their equivalence.
Goniometry in Ptolemy's Almagest
Kušnír, Martin ; Halas, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Bečvář, Jindřich (referee)
The main focus of this bachelor thesis are the beginnings of goniometry in ancient Greece, mainly in the book Almagest from Claudius Ptolemy. We describe a predecessor of modern goniometric function - the length of a chord in a circle and it's similarity to the modern goniometric function sine. In the first part we focus on computing the table of chords. In the thesis the process of computing the table of chords is unchanged from the original in Almagest, it is only translated into a modern mathematical language. We present description of the Heron's algorithm for computing square roots and discuss the accuracy of the table of chords. In the second part we show the usage of the table of chords in astronomical calculations. Our work is based on how Ptolemy viewed the solar system and the movements of heavenly bodies. Keywords: goniometry, Ptolemy, Almagest, chord, sine

Geometry around us
ZOUBEK, Tomáš
There are different geometric shapes , as well as speeches and applications or different geometrical properties in engineering practice in everyday lives . Knowing and understanding these phenomena may play an important role in the study of mathematics and geometry , showing these disciplines in their close relationship to the real world . The aim of this work is to develop a set of materials that will be dedicated to such phenomena. So that it can be used for teaching mathematics and geometry.
