Model for power line communication
Baluch, Viliam ; Fujdiak, Radek (referee) ; Mlýnek, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is dealing with matters of data communication after power line. The thesis is including the PLC systems history, current possibilities of utilization and different types of modulations being used, interference sources and parameters of a transmission line. We will elaborate on methods of transmission line modeling and one of them will be used in the practical part of the thesis. The practical part consists of modeling of different types of topology and impedance endings applying generation of random transmission parameters and sizes of typology. We analyze results from practical measurement which are incorporated in a model. The model is then being compared with another one in terms of fixed parameters.
Power line parameters
Kavan, Pavel ; Krajsa, Ondřej (referee) ; Mlýnek, Petr (advisor)
At the beginning is diploma thesis focused on a distribute power line parameters measurement and examination changes of this parameters depending on using of various power line cables. On the basis of measurements is made a transmission channel in Matlab & Simulink, where are executed simulations with power transmission line. The simulated power line is based on measured distribute parameters or physical proportions of cabels. By changing different parts of simulated communication channel is a symbol error rate expressed on the lenght of transmission line.
Power line transfer function generator
Šenk, Marek ; Mišurec, Jiří (referee) ; Mlýnek, Petr (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to create a power line transfer function generator in Matlab. Work on introduction explains the concept of power line and describes the different types of topologies and types of cables that power line are the most widely used today. It is also discussed PLC technology, its structure, characteristics of the transmission channel and interferences. The following are approach the types of the modeling of power line. More details are described generally modeling in the frequency (two-port network model), which is used in the created generator. The next section provides a power line model, whose principle is used in the generator. The following is a description of created the generator and comparison with FTW PLC Simulator. In conclusion, the thesis presents the results of simulations the transfer function, which show the magnitude and phase frequency characteristics of different topologies and parameters.

Simulator of channel response of Power Line Communication in Omnet++
Karas, Pavel ; Šilhavý, Pavel (referee) ; Mlýnek, Petr (advisor)
The diploma´s thesis is focussed on principles and characteristics of Powerline Communication. Powerline communication is a technology using powerlines for transmitting information. Its narrowband variant is developing in the field of remote data reading nowadays. There is a lot of solutions that need to be tested and simulated prior ro putting into practice. This thesis deals with preparing the OMNeT++ simulation enviroment for purposes of simulating the narrowband service PLC.
