Heart Sounds Detector
Hlaváčová, Kristýna ; Králík, Martin (referee) ; Kozumplík, Jiří (advisor)
In this thesis deals with detection of heart sounds in signal. In first half of thesis is discussed anatomy, physiology of cardiovascular system and issue of heart sounds. Afterwards, devices for evalution phonocardigram signals and their analysis are described. Thereafter the work focuseson the algorithm for detection of the first and second heart sound, which was implemented in the MATLAB R2014a environment. In conclusion, there is a summary of the proposed method and statistic evaluation.
Research of speech features quantifying diadochokinetic (DDK) tasks
Kukučka, Peter ; Smékal, Zdeněk (referee) ; Mekyska, Jiří (advisor)
Speech processing methods were studied to calculate parameters of pacient with Parkinon's disease. Main focus of this work is to examine diadochokinetic (DDK) tests. Algorithm for parameters extraction was proposed. It works in more parts. DC is removed from speech signal, preemphasis aplicated. Envelope of input signal is calculated, peaks of syllables are detected. Parameters and statistical results of Mann-Whitney U~test are calculated from detected peaks. Proposed algorithm is implemented in Matlab.
Methods for sleep spindles detection from EEG records
Matoušek, Šimon ; Mézl, Martin (referee) ; Králík, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor work focuses on the detection of sleep spindles in EEG signals. The introductory chapter deals with the EEG signal, describes its components and describes the signal recording process. Explains the term sleep spindle and clarifies polysomnography. In the following chapter, some findings concerning studies that examined and practically used individual methods of sleep spindle detection are summarized in the form of research. The practical part of the work is focused on some sleep spindle detectors. At the end of the work is a comparison of the success of these detectors in comparison with other, previously performed studies. The highest success was achieved with the detector based on signal envelope calculation, where the sensitivity was 56.00 \% and the specificity 55.19 %, and also with the detector using wavelet transforms, where the sensitivity was 81.22 % and the specificity 46.15 %
QRS complex detection in long electrograms
Novotná, Petra ; Hejč, Jakub (referee) ; Kozumplík, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the detection of the QRS complexes in long electrograms which were acquired by scanning isolated rabbit hearts. The first section of this thesis contains information about general detection principles. Some of those principles are de- scribed into details in the fourth chapter. The practical part consists of: the introduction of processed data, the description of specific algorithms used while solving the task and the realisation of those algorithms in the language of technical computing (MATLAB).
