Effects of Height and added Load on kinematic drop vertical jump at Military Personnel
Didek, Zdeněk ; Oláh, Vladan (advisor) ; Prokešová, Eva (referee)
Title: Effects of Height and added Load on kinematic drop vertical jump in Military Personnel. Goal: This research investigated how added load affects the kinematics of lower extremities during drop vertical jump from different heights in military personnel. Methods: The character of this thesis was theoretical and empirical. It was a randomized trial with a cross-over design. The research population consisted of 23 army students (21.8 ± 1.8 years, 182.1 ± 9.4 cm 82.3 ± 7.2 kg) of Faculty of Physical Education and Sport of Charles University who performed jumps and subsequent lunges (drop vertical jump) from a height of 50 and 75 cm without non-PNZ and with PNZ (21.45 kg) of load carry. Dartfish (10.0) was used for dynamic valgus analysis. The data obtained were descriptively and statistically analyzed in Jasp (0.16.2) using repeated measures analysis of variance. The level of statistical significance was set at α=0.05. Eta-squared was calculated at η2 =0.066 and Cohen's d at d=0.626. Results: There was no evidence of main effect of load bearing with different jump heights on dynamic knee valgus. The descriptive statistics yielded only positive values for knee angles, indicating only dynamic varus. However, the effect of load carry and jump height on lower limb kinematics showed the following...
Strength exercises for the prevention of knee injuries in drop landing: a sysmatic review.
Novák, Michal ; Oláh, Vladan (advisor) ; Omcirk, Dan (referee)
Title: Strength exercises for the prevention of knee injuries in drop landing: a sysmatic review. Objectives: This study aims to create an incidence overview of strength exercises for the prevention of knee injuries during drop landing using a systematic search of scientific databases. Methods: For an elaboration of this thesis was used the systematic review method based on recommendations of PRISMA (Page et al., 2021). At the beginning of the thesis, a research question was defined to identify the most common strength exercises in intervention programs to prevent drop landing injuries. Next, a script was created using defined keywords and Boolean operators such as AND, OR and NOT. The script was used to retrieve studies from internet databases (Web of Science, SportDiscus, Scopus, PubMed). Duplicates were subsequently excluded from the retrieved studies, and the number of studies was further reduced by expert review according to predefined criteria. Results: According to the results of this bachelor thesis, lunges are the most common exercise used in intervention programs to prevent knee injuries during drop landing. They were used in 13 out of 24 intervention programs. In addition to strength exercises, plyometric exercises are widely used in intervention programs. Keywords: Strength training,...
Changes in motivation and fear of selected individuals during the first jumps
Chum, Jaroslav ; Dvorský, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Fiala, Miloš (referee)
Title: Changes in motivation and fear of selected individuals during the first jumps Objectives: Describe the process of jumping off a plane in terms of emotions experienced during it Methods: In this work is used the method of mixed research, especially the method of case studies that describe the researched object in depth. As a research material, were chose 3 standardized questionnaires (16 PF, EOD-A, Monitoring changes in individual activities) and one non-standardized structured interview on 20 questions examining the experience of fear during the jump and 20 questions identifying motivational motives to perform the jump. The research sample was 3 subjects who participated in the same parachuting course. Results: All subjects were successfully examined for their emotions during the parachute jump process. All respondents stated that the main motivational aspect that caused their participation in the parachuting course was the need to try something new. In terms of fear, individuals showed the greatest concern about not opening the main parachute and the subsequent situation where they would be forced to open a backup parachute. Fear was also expressed about possible slipping out of the parachute harness, landing outside the landing zone somewhere in the meadow or possible fractures of the...

Qualitative research of processes of physical and mental preparation for parachuting and an influence of stress during the parachute jump
MARTIN, Milan
The aim is to undertake qualitative research based on Grounded theory and findings how the sports and military paratroopers prepare to jump. We try to explain coaching and learning, activation theory, the theory of stress, coping with stress, the influence of music on the activation and stress management in theoretical part. We explain the concept of qualitative research, grounded theory basics using a semi-structured interview method, or. observation in the methodological part. Detected patterns of physical and mental preparation and the different elements of a common or joint managing stress and emotions in sport skydivers and parachutists ACR will be summarized after qualitative research.
