Knowledge Discovery from Time Series
Krutý, Peter ; Burget, Radek (referee) ; Bartík, Vladimír (advisor)
This thesis is focused on the field of knowledge discovery from data, specifically from time series. Main objective is to research Python programming language support in this area and then design and implement an application that will allow to demonstrate and compare selected methods. Methods are demonstrated in experiments using appropriate data set. The output of the thesis is a comparison of methods for specific tasks and the application implementing selected methods.
Dictionary for Mobile Devices (iPad, iPhone, Android)
Boba, Peter ; Kouřil, Jan (referee) ; Smrž, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis deals with the design and implementation of a system for creating dictionary databases, as well as design and implementation of an Android application that displays the dictionary data contained in these databases. Lexical data sources are structured using Lexical Markup Framework.
Computer analysis of medical image data
Krajčír, Róbert ; Šmirg, Ondřej (referee) ; Uher, Václav (advisor)
This work deals with medical image analysis, using variety of statisic and numeric methods implemented in Eclipse and Rapidminer environments in Java programming language. Sets of images (slices), which are used here, are the results of magnetic resonance brain examination of several subejcts. Segments in this 3D image are analyzed and some local features are computed, based on which data sets for use in training algorythms are generated. The ability of successful identification of healthy or unhealthy tissues is then practically tested using available data.
AI Algorithms
Petrželka, Jan ; Hrubý, Martin (referee) ; Janoušek, Vladimír (advisor)
This master's thesis describes artificial intelligence algorithms based on the book Artificial Inteligence: A Modern Approach by S. Russel and P. Norvig and implementation of the algorithms in the Squeak Smalltalk programming language with object oriented approach. Algorithms are based on pseudocode in the book and existing implementations in Lisp, Python and Java language. Main concepts are intelligent agents, agent simulation environments, state space search, game playing, planning, uncertainty and learning.
Detection of Homologous Enzymes
Web Base Video Player with Slides and Transcript
Koriťák, Jan ; Černocký, Jan (referee) ; Szőke, Igor (advisor)
Content of this thesis is dedicated to problematics of design and implementation of a web base video player with slides as a JavaScript plugin. As the outcome of this thesis is supposed to replace an already existing player , the first chapter is dedicated to it's throughout analysis . Following chapters are the dedicated to desing , implementation and testing of the player , using information acquired in the phase of analysis .
Traffic Connection Searching in Transport Schedules
Žižka, Ondřej ; Bidlo, Michal (referee) ; Jaroš, Jiří (advisor)
Everyday need of modern society is a mass personal transit on a regular basis. For this purpose, mass transit systems exist which obey aforethought schedule. This thesis' goal is to examine the means of automatic search of connections from one place to another, implement such search, and to advance the search algorithm using the soft-computing paradigms. Minor goal would be a research of SQL language procedural capabilities, which could support mass pseudo-parallel computations.
Význam a organizování služby pátrání a záchrany v civilním letectví
Albastová, Slavěna ; Balážová, Renáta (referee) ; Chlebek, Jiří (advisor)
A comprehensive survey including concise attributes of methods and procedures being used during search and rescue operations on the territory of the Czech republic are the main purpose of this bachelor thesis. The search and rescue operations create one part of commitments resulting from the membership of the Czech republic in the ICAO International Civil Aviation Organization. This thesis is regarded as a study guide for future professional pilots obliged to get through their examination of ÚCL (Úřad civilního letectví).
Indikator position behind the wall
Pecha, Václav ; Marcoň, Petr (referee) ; Szabó, Zoltán (advisor)
The work sums up the basic measurement principles for different kinds of searching devises. It deals with measurement using resonance. The feature of resonance and measurement techniques are described to set the location of the radiating circuite. The work contains the design of a locator of position behind a wall itself as well as the concrete switch connection, schema and description of receiver and emitter in the circuit.
Multiword Expression Search on Android Mobile Devices
Babič, Vojtěch ; Kouřil, Jan (referee) ; Smrž, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis explores current mobile dictionary user interfaces focusing on multiword expression search support. The goal of this thesis is to design a system which can index large dictionaries and then search in them effectively. An Android application which allows user to search in multiword expressions containing inflected forms quickly was developed to demonstrate the system. A second part describes dictionary formats, their usage and features. The first dictionary format is Lexical Markup Framework, in which source dictionaries are stored and which are used to create indexed dictionaries from. Another format explained is StarDict, which was meant to be a main storage format for the implemented Android application, but an own database dictionary format supporting full-text indexes was developed instead.
