One of those sectors that need to know the numbers of children and young people is education. This bachelor thesis deals with age-specific groups defined according to levels of Czech education system, including kindergartens and creches, on regional level. Part of the thesis analyzes development of these groups in regions of the Czech Republic between the years 2000 and 2014 followed with forecast until 2050. Chudíčková, Eva Barbora ; Fiala, Tomáš (advisor) ; Šimpach, Ondřej (referee)
As age-specific service, education is considerably affected by demographic trends. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyze previous development of a school-age population and also to outline future changes until 2100. The school-age population consists of all persons in the age usual for education at a certain level of Czech education system including kindergartens and creche. A calculation of the school-age population takes into account a possibility of postponement of school attendance and also a transition of pupils from elementary school to grammar school. A size of each school-age population is compared with an actual number of pupils (students) at a given level of education.
