Teacherś support of the unsuccessful primary school pupils

The diploma thesis deals with the role of the teacher in the education of unsuccessful schoolchildren at the 1st stage of primary school. The theoretical part deals with various concepts of school failure. The first chapter defines the concept of school success and failure. The second chapter deals with the various reasons for school failure, which the teacher must determine in order to effectively support the pupil. The third chapter focuses on the behavior of pupils with SEN, which can often be dangerous and the teacher must know how to behave in such situations. The fourth chapter deals with how a pupil with SEN is admitted to a regular class. Above all, however, the thesis focuses on the procedures used by the teacher, which help the child in learning and overcoming obstacles that make his learning more difficult, including subjectively perceived failure. We will find this information in the fifth chapter. The next chapters focus on the teaching assistant and the school, which are of cordinal importance in supporting the student. The aim of the empirical part is to find out how teachers at the 1st stage of primary school give unsuccessful pupils support, and what effective procedures (strategies) they use.
