The diploma thesis deals with Selected materials for preparation for secondary school entrance exams. The objective of this thesis was to create a workbook with exercises that help pupils with the preparation for the secondary school level entrance exams in Mathematics. The workbook is dedicated primarily to 9th-grade learners, however, teachers can use the exercises for revision lessons in any classroom in lower secondary school. The workbook comprises several thematic units which are introduced by the theoretical overview. Furthermore, the units consist of supplementary exercises with the answer key section.

Topics addressed in the bachelor's thesis are money, forms of payment, ownership, shopping, inflation, household management, price creation and value added tax, interest and financial planning.

The aim of this thesis is to study real situations from the environment of geography, which have a mathematical basis, and to create a set of application examples for teaching at primary and secondary school. The work should show that mathematics is connected not only to physics, chemistry, biology, but also to geography, and that it occurs in many real-world situations.

Collection of examples on the topic of conics

Diploma thesis deals especially with practical examples on the topic of conics. It is divided into two parts. The first part includes chapters with examples on the topics discussed in the course Geometry I. In the second part affine properties of conics, which can be used in construction tasks, Pascal's theorem and Brianchon's theorem and their use are mentioned. The aim of this thesis is to ilustrate the conics on typical examples for those interested and then to show them the interesting properties, for which there is no space in the course Geometry I.

Collection of examples on quadratic surfaces

Bachelor thesis deals with practical examples on quadratic surfaces. It is divided into an Introduction and 11 chapters. Each chapter includes basic concepts of the issue, followed by several solved examples and at the end of chapter unsolved examples are listed, including results. The thesis can help to manage the course Geometry I., in which conics and quadrics are discussed. Aim of this thesis is to collect examples for each topic of the theory of quadratic surfaces, subsequently typical examples resolve and in this way give the instructions for solving other examples, which are listed only with results, to practice.

Mathematics and Sport

The thesis elaborates on relations between PE or sports in general, and mathematics. The author focuses on a practical application of numbers on sports such football, swimming, track and field, downhill skiing and Olympic games. Moreover, the mentioned numerical methods are further used for writing a workbook of model exercises for grammar schools. The thesis is divided into two main chapters ? theoretical and practical. The theoretical part consists of selected sports which are expressed and described by numbers and formulas. In the practical part, a reader can find the workbook of model exercises which has been completed using all the mathematical sources discussed in the theoretical part. There are also correct solutions exercises available for self-studying students.

Collection of examples from mathematics for 6 th class of basic school

This Bachelor´s thesis ?The collection of mathematical exercises for the 6th form pupils of basic school?, which I wrote using the textbooks, workbooks and collections from three different countries for the 6th form pupils of basic school, should supplement the shortage of exercises concerning the subject matter discussed in mathematics of the 6th form. This collection can serve as remedial education to weaker and average pupils as well as to talented pupils to intensify their interest in mathematics. More difficult exercises are marked with a picture of a dolphin. Last chapter in this collection focuses on those talented pupils and their preparation for Mathematical Olympiads.
