NFC technology and its security
Mertlík, Tomáš ; Babnič, Patrik (referee) ; Rosenberg, Martin (advisor)
The first objective of this paper is to describe the Android operating system. The chapter presents history and architecture regarding to all versions of the operating system. The significant part of chapter is focused on security. The second main topic of this paper is analysing the NFC (Near Field Communication) technology. This technology is based on an older contactless system RFID (Radio Frequency Communication), so RFID is described either. The NFC technology chapter contains the description of usability, history and the definitions of physical layer, link layer and NDEF (NFC Data Exchange) data format, used for data transmitting. The next chapter is focusing on the analysis of the NFC vulnerability. It contains a possible attacks methods and solutions how to prevent them. The output of this paper is the projection and creation of an application, which allow sending an arbitrary data between two devices using the NFC technology. Additional Bluetooth technology can be used for larger files. In this case, NFC helps to create Bluetooth communication channel which is utilized for data transfer.
Automation and Accounting of Coffee Machine
Víšek, Jakub ; Ryšavý, Ondřej (referee) ; Pluskal, Jan (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is to design and implement an embedded and information system for automatic accounting of coffee dispensed by a vending machine. Features of the created solution include reliability and portability. The system can be easily extended for use in point of sale applications different to coffee machines. The results enable easy deployment of electronic accounting of purchased products and demonstrate integration of a microcontroller which controls a coffee vending machine on the basis of identifying users by their RFID tags.
Dispach Processes Optimization
Ručka, Miroslav ; Hendrychová, Marcela (referee) ; Videcká, Zdeňka (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with expedition process optimization in a specific company in the pharmaceutical industry. The thesis contains proposals for optimizing the expedition process, specifically the elimination of expedition errors. The proposals were created based on a global analysis of the company and a detailed analysis of the expedition process.
Internet of Things Device Based on Thread and 6LoWPAN
Piškula, David ; Nosko, Svetozár (referee) ; Musil, Petr (advisor)
Internet of Things is among the newest phenomena of information technologies. This work describes the evolution and future of the Internet of Things and provides an overview of its current applications, then summarize the communication interfaces and protocols usable for the creation of the Internet of Things. The main focus is put especially on the IEEE 802.15.4 standard, 6LoWPAN protocol and the Thread technology. It also explains the term of Cloud Computing, platforms that are providing it and related types of databases. The design, implementation and testing of a Thread based solution are part of this thesis.
RFID based attedance system design
Krejzek, Jakub ; Mašek, Petr (referee) ; Věchet, Stanislav (advisor)
This thesis describes the design of applications for attendance system. The first part describes today's modern applications and basic information about RFID technology. The second part deals with the design, of SQL database applications and own attendance system application. The last part describes the instructions and suggestions for possible improvements and expansion, which is described in the conclusion.
Attendance System - Complete Solution with ESP and Raspberry Pi Modules
Křehlík, Petr ; Kočí, Radek (referee) ; Janoušek, Vladimír (advisor)
The main goal of this bachelor's thesis is to design and implement an attendance system based on the Arduino, ESP and RaspberryPi platforms, which communicate with each other using a WiFi network. The access station provides users access using RFID tokens and a central unit information system for managing the entire system in the form of a web interface.
HF RFID tag emulator
Neužil, Ondřej ; Derbek, Vojtěch (referee) ; Vychodil, Josef (advisor)
This thesis contains the basic information about the Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology. It describes its main principles and usage. The main goal of this thesis is to design a RFID tag emulator for HF band according standard ISO 15693 that should emulate the long-range contactless smart card. The design includes the selection of the suitable components, such as a microprocessor - the core of the whole emulator, or calculation of the efficient integrated coil dimensions on a printed circuit and software for communication between the RFID reader card and the emulator.
Digital Signal Processor for Handheld RFID Reader
Benetka, Miroslav ; Zamazal, Michal (referee) ; Šebesta, Jiří (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with design and realization of a module for a digital signal procesor, for handheld RFID reader working in UHF band. It utilises a special chip EM4298 for RFID signals processing. Module is controlled by the microcontroller ATmega32L, which communicates with the PC through USB bus. Settings in EM4298 is made by a service program which processes received identifying data obtained from tags. Source codes for microcontroller are created in AVR Studio 4.13 program. Source codes for microcontroller are created in C++ Builder 6.0 program. Further thing is Desing and realization of analog interface and a UHF transceiver for wireless communication with tags. A Webench program was used for the analog interface design, which is freely available on the internet. For verification of parameters of the analog interface it was used PSpice 10.0 program. The UHF transceiver is build-up with a MAX2903 chip (transmitter) and AD8347 (receiver) and transmitting and receiving antennae.
Smart power socket for charging electrical appliances in public areas
Chalupa, Tomáš ; Marada, Tomáš (referee) ; Zuth, Daniel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is primarily focused on design and construction of a prototype smart power socket that will be used to charge electrical appliances in public areas. It provides user authentication based on an attached RFID element and monitoring of the charging progress. For this, it uses communication with an external cloud database. The actual construction of the prototype has been divided into three main parts in this thesis, control, electrical and mechanical. The introduction is also complemented by a research section dealing with microcontrollers, cloud systems and RFID technology.
NFC reader with supervisory communication
