Resilience in nurses during the COVID-19 pandemi

This paper deals with the phenomenon of resilience, which is receiving more and more attention in the foreign literature. The subject of the theoretical part is to introduce the concept of resilience and its development. The thesis describes how people react and continue after encountering an adverse situation. It also discusses the factors involved in this process. The theoretical part concludes with an overview of the possibilities of measuring resilience. The research design is set in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, specifically in nurses caring for patients with this disease. It aims to determine the overall level of resilience in this profession in the Czech Republic using the Connor - Davidson Resilience Scale (CD - RISC) questionnaire and then to identify protective factors through a semi-structured interview.
