Analýza ztrát selat v konkrétním chovu
Fabiánek, Tomáš
The aim of this thesis was to evalulate reproductive traits of sows in specific farm. All data was collected in period 2017-2021 from sows which are raised by agricultural company GenAgro Říčany a.s. In data there are informations about 3862 litters in total. In sows there was observed gestation length, number of piglets total born, number of liveborn piglets, stillborn piglets, weaned piglets, preweaning mortality in litters and reasons for their elimination. There is evalulation of effect of year, parity and gestation length on these reproductive traits in this thesis also. Statistica and R programs were used to perform this evalulation. Average gestation length for the whole period was 113,92 days. Average number of piglets total born was 15,74. Average number of liveborn piglets was 12,84 and stillborn piglets was 2,89. Average number of weaned piglets was 11,86. Average number of preweaning mortality was 1,78. There was observed significant effect of year, parity and gestation length on reproductive traits in this thesis.
Variabilita reprodukčních parametrů vybraných druhů sov.
TOMEŠOVÁ, Andrea
This bachelor thesis is focused on reproductive parameters of three owl species: Long-eared owl (Asio otus), Tengmalm´s owl (Aegolius funereus) and Tawny owl (Strix aluco). The main goal is to find information about breeding of this species, compare their reproductive parameters and find out if longitude, latitude and main habitat type have some impact on their reproductive parameters.
Effect of zearalenone on reproductive parameters and the expression of selected genes in mice.
Dvořáková, Eva ; Pěknicová, Jana (advisor) ; Nedvídek, Josef (referee)
A number of chemicals may have a negative impact on the environment and wildlife. Endocrine disruptors (EDs), which can mimic estrogen, interfere with natural hormones in organism and can have a negative effect on the reproductive system. Such substances include zearalenone (ZEA) - mycotoxin, produced by the fungi Fusarium. Despite the non-steriodal structure of its molecule, ZEA and its derivates possess potent estrogenic activity. The influence of ZEA on reproductive parameters and changes in expression of selected genes were tested in the outbred line of mice. This study showed significant effects of ZEA on number of reproductive performances. This effect was observed at lower examined dose, to which are humans normally exposed, and at higher doses, both showed changes in the tested parameters.
The effect of diabetes mellitus on reproductive parameters and expression of selected testicular genes in diabetic mice
Valášková, Eliška ; Pěknicová, Jana (advisor) ; Kaňka, Jiří (referee)
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), 15% of couples in reproductive age suffer from infertility problems, and up to 60% of cases are caused by male factor. Causes of this condition could be genetic background, environmental factors and various diseases, including diabetes mellitus (DM). The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of DM on reproductive parameters and expression of selected testicular genes using mouse model (FVB inbred mouse strain). DM (type 1) was artificially induced by chemical substance streptozotocin, which causes destruction of pancreatic β cells. These mice were exposed to diabetic condition for 6 weeks and then subjected to analysis. Our results have shown that diabetic condition had an impact on body weight, weight of reproductive organs as well as kidneys and livers. We also observed decreased concentration and viability of diabetic sperm compared to control. Moreover, we noticed increased staining with apoptotic marker annexin V. Further, we evaluated changes of sperm nuclear proteins - protamines. In diabetic animals, we observed higher number of sperm with insufficient protamination. Nevertheless, protamine 1 to protamine 2 ratio (P1/P2), a marker of male fertility, was not altered in sperm of diabetic animals compared to control. Regarding the...
Vliv intenzity odchovu jalovic na jejich užitkovost na první laktaci
Karbanová, Zdeňka
From April 2012 to August 2016, 78 heifers (Holstein and Czech Fleckvieh) were observed with the aim to assess 1) the influence of the intensity of breeding heifers and the influence of the season of birth on the yield during first lactation, 2) selected reproduction indicators. The intensity of breeding has been evaluated through the liveweight gain of heifers weighing 117 kg, 186 kg, 309 kg and 483 kg (their overall average liveweight was 301 kg). There was no evidence of any negative impact of relatively high daily liveweight gains (reaching to 1 kg) neither on milk yield nor on selected reproduction indicators. On the contrary, among the observed first calvers, excellent yield has been achieved, reaching to 6023 kg of milk for 1 piece of cattle during the lactation period. The yield in the first 100 days reached 2282 kg, while the average lactation period was 278 days. Excellent levels of reproduction parameters were gained insemination interval of 56 days, service of period 73 days and interim 357 days. A positive influence of higher intensity of growth on the examined production as well as reproduction parameters has been detected, especially at the early age of heifers (117 and 186 kg). The season of birth clearly impacted only the liveweight at birth reaching its top in Autumn (38 kg) and its low in Spring (33 kg). The season of birth did not influence the remaining examined parameters of milk yield and reproduction.
Effect of Type 2 diabetes on the mouse reproductive parametres
Stiborová, Martina ; Pěknicová, Jana (advisor) ; Nagyová, Eva (referee)
Infertility is defined as an inability to conceive a child within one year of regular sexual intercourse. It affects up to 15 % of couples worldwide (WHO, 2010). The male factor contributes to the total infertility with more than 50 %. Fertility of a man is influenced by several factors such as genetic background, environment and various diseases such as diabetes mellitus (DM). Diabetes mellitus is a serious health problem that affects 451 million people worldwide (18-99 years) and the number of people with this disease still increases (Cho a spol., 2018). In addition, parenthood is postponed to middle age when the fertility decreases and metabolic diseases such as type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM2) appear. The aim of this thesis was to investigate the effect of type 2 diabetes on reproductive parameters of mouse inbred line C57BL/6J compared to the control group and the possible effect of paternal diabetes on the first filial generation. In the evaluation of the effect of DM2 on reproductive parameters, we used innovative methods to study internal state of sperm and testes. Results of our work showed that DM2 influenced the weight of body, prostate and liver. The weight of testes, epididymis and liver was reduced in the offspring. Furthermore, sperm morphology and intraacrosomal protein status were...

Početnost, reprodukce a pohnízdní disperze kvakoše nočního (\kur{Nycticorax nycticorax}) v Českobudějovické pánvi
HRALOVÁ, Nela
The study deals with first telemetry observations of Black-Crowned Night Herons (Nycticorax nycticorax) in the Czech Republic. The main aim was to describe post-fledging dispersal abilities and evaluate influence of chosen factors to dispersion of young birds. The study also deals with population trends, variability of reproductive parameters and factors affecting these traits.
