Porovnání vybraných reprodukčních ukazatelů u vídeňských králíků
BRADÁČOVÁ, Kateřina
The bachelor thesis is focused on the evaluation and comparison of selected reproductive parameters in individual breeds of Vienna rabbits. The introduction of the research part is devoted to the origin and domestication of rabbits. The following chapters deal with the anatomy and morphology of the reproductive systems of males and females as well as reproduction itself. Part of the thesis also discusses the genetics of rabbits, and a separate chapter is devoted to the Vienna rabbit. The practical part inc ludes the methodology of the work, which introduces the individual breeds, as well as the comparison and evaluation of selected reproductive parameters between the diffe rent breeds of Vienna rabbits.
Zhodnocení reprodukčních schopností králíků chovaných ve vybraném drobnochovu
Bakošová, Aneta
The bachelor´s thesis deals with evaluation of reproductive indicators of selected breeds of rabbits. In the literary review, origin of domestic rabbit, biological characteristics and reproduction, were described. In the practical part of the work were described two selected breeds of domestic rabbits. It was about czech spot and californian rabbit. Their reproductive properties were evaluated and compared with each other. Compared results of both breed do not differ at all. Californian rabbit had higher number of weaned offsprings and shorter length of pregnancy. Czech spot had better weight gain and longer length of pregnancy.
Analysis of commercial properties broiler breeds of rabbits and their hybrid offspring
KUŽÍLKOVÁ, Petra
The main aim of this thesis was to analyse growth abilities of hybrids (?Nb x ?Kal) in comparison with original parental population. Further were evaluated reproductive properties of parental breeds of rabbits New Zealand White and Californian and their combination (?Nb x ?Kal). Enter data were gathered in total from 27 litters. Obtained data were summarized and statistically treated in MS Excel programme and STATISTICA version 9. To assess the development of live weight, the rabbits were weighed at 7-day intervals from birth until the end of fattening, it is to the age of 126 days. For the analysis of reproductive abilities was in single females litters observed the number of all born offspring, from that the number of live-born and still-born offspring and the number of weaned offspring. Further, the length of gravidity, the length of season and age at weaning, milkiness and total mortality were observed. The assessment of growth and reproductive abilities was made in dependence on sequence of litter and on the observed calendar year. The results showed higher increases in 60th, 90th and 120th days of age hybrid offspring than a breeds pattern book by paternal population requires. The achievement of high weight gains confirms the suitability of using these hybrids for intensive production of quality dietetic rabbit meat. It was also achieved excellent results in milkiness females in the observed breeding. Its average value was 3965 g, which is comparable with milkiness of broiler breeds in large breedings. Total results confirmed the suitability of using Californian rabbit breeds in a maternal position and the New Zealand White in a paternal position to create commercial hybrids intended for fattening. Their hybrid offspring reach better growth ability than original parental population. Results of this study can be specific recommendation especially for small breeders of meat-type rabbits when choosing a suitable combination of breeds for fattening.
Analysis of the reproductive properties of the sheep´s herd in Michlova Huť
NOVÁKOVÁ, Iva
At the present time in the Czech Republic we can see a growing number of sheep. This is associated with the breed´s development and with various possibilities of their breeding in terms of production. Farmers are mostly focused on breeding for meat and lamb production but what is also important is the selection breeding which is governed by specific rules. These breeds have to maintain constant animal quality. For this purpose they use animal health checks, regular selection, data derived from the records and results of the performance monitoring. The main goal of my Bachelor thesis was an analysis of the reproductive indicators in the herd of sheep in Michlova Huť for which I used data collected during the last two years of breeding (2009, 2010). I also conducted a comparison of fertility observed in sheep during the development of this farm with the current situation of selection breeding. Reproductive indicators are indeed the main source of information about the past and the future development of the sheep´s herd. Based on this analysis I found out that there was no significant influence of paternal line on sheep fertility and ewes (female sheep) intensity of fertility in the surveyed sample of Sumava sheep in Michlova Huť during the years 2009 and 2010. Furthermore, I discovered that the longer this farm exist the higher value of the ewes fertility is there. In 1978 the value of the sheep fertility on this farm was 113,4% while the actual situation from 2010 shows the fertility value of 146,1%. To describe the current state of Sumava sheep in Michlova Huť I used the results of the the performance monitoring found in 2009 and 2010 which do not differ from one another and so they confirm the same breeder´s trend.
