Studium fenolických látek hroznů révy vinné =: Study of the Phenolic Compouns in Grape /
Kumšta, Michal
At the center of the presented work is six publications devoted to phenolic substances in wine and grapes. In the literary review are written main groups of phenolic substances found in grapes and wines made from them. In the topic are hydroxybenzoic and hydroxyscinnamic acids, stilbenes, flavan-3-ols, flavonols and anthocyanins. There is also mentioned theirs synthesis in grape berries. Reactions occurring in musts with participation of oxidative enzymes are involved also. Also are described the reactions occurring in grape musts with participation of oxidative enzymes affecting mainly cafftaric acid and subsequent reactions involving glutathione, or ascorbic acid. Oxidation of finished wines with the participation of metals ions leads to formation of the acetaldehyde is described also. This proces produces other reaction products too. The practical part includes necessary chemicals, treatment and processing of samples, the instrumental equipment and the description of the methods used in determination of the individual analytes by liquid chromatography. Other methods have been used to spectrophotometric determination of phenolic compouds. The first three publications deal with phenolic substances in Rhine Riesling, which allow verification of the geographical origin of grapes. Next publication uses anthocyanins for the same purpose. Determination of anthocyane dye profile makes possible to exclude inappropriate genetic sources for grape breeding. Determination of specific phenolic substances goups reveals the kinetics of processes taking place during maceration of mash.
Šlechtění podnoží odolných k mšičce révokaz
Bechyňová, Soňa
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to discuss the breeding of grapevine rootstocks, which are highly resistant or resistant to phylloxera. The first part of the thesis deals with the research of the phylloxera, its history and current occurrence in the world. Further, the description of the Vitis species, which are mostly used in nowadays breeding programs. The following is a summary of the representation of the cultivated rootstocks and the characteristics of the newly bred rootstocks over the last 10 to 15 years. The thesis focuses on new methods of breeding rootstocks. Appropriate breeding methods and suitable selection of rootstocks for the South Moravian region are recommended in the end.
Využití botanických druhů rév a jejich kříženců ve šlechtění a zahradnické praxi
Janečka, Vratislav
Grape vine has been associated with the development of human society since ancient times. It was planted by humans near their dwellings as far as thousand years ago. The grape vine has since undergone many transformations and became worldwide spread and major agricultural produce which is grown for wine production, table grapes and decoration purposes. The aim of this bachelor thesis was to gather and summarise available knowledge about the use of botanical species of common grape vine and its hybrids in breeding and gardening practice. The works of czech authors as well as publications of foreign authors were investigated. It bacame apparent from the published works that vine breeding for resistance is a never ending process the aim of which is to select individual plants either resistant to pathogens or those with sufficient hardiness against them. Another difficult task of botanists and vine breeding experts is naming the individual species of grape vine. Countless species were discovered throughout the history however the number of names of species has exceeded the actual number of species multiple times. Nowadays, modern genetic anlyses are being used for species identification which significantly lessens the task of identifying the species. These analyses employ microsatelite markers which are the most commonly used DNA markers today. These analyses were developed over the past 10-15 years.
Vliv regulace násady hroznů na vývoj révy a kvalitu hroznů
Ťápal, Marek
The knowledge of location conditions, grapevine morphology and physiology are the fundamental assumptions for production of high quality grapes and final wine. The quality management should be considered as a comprehensive set of agrotechnical steps which influence the crop quality. The canopy management, especially bunch thinning, represents a group of actions influencing grapes quality parameters such as sugar and acids content, pH value and the content of polyphenols, anthocyanins and yeast assimilable nitrogen. The aromatic or phenolic maturity and plant vigor are influenced by the canopy management, too. The bunch thinning experiment with Malverina grape variety showed a very positive effect on sugar and acids content, pH value, aromatic maturity and plant vigor.

Studium koncentrace růstových regulátorů pro multiplikaci Vitis vinifera L.
Mančíková, Simona
This bachelor thesis is focused on the concentration of growth regulators Vitis vinifera L. Multiplication in vitro based on a literature dealing with this topic. Based on the obtained information, work sums up the most suitable level of concentration of hormones used in the vine multiplication. The work also includes botanical characteristics, importance and methods of growing vine and the description of growth regulators used during the multiplication process of grapevine.
