Explanation of professional and educational visions of pupils in the ninth grade

1 Abstract This thesis is focused on the interpretation of the ninth-grade pupil's conceptions of hierarchical segmentation of society based on profession and obtained degree of education. Its main goal is to clarify student's perception of inequalities of social status among different work positions and to understand impact of study achievements on their vertical grouping. Theoretical part deals with sociological theories to explain the role of occupation and education in formation and maintenance of social stratification. Analytical part validates theoretical explanations by qualitative research conducted within one ninth class. Research questions are answered by qualitative analysis of data acquired by in-depth semi-structured interviews. Student's conceptions correspond to the basic three-dimensional hierarchical classification of the social layers defined in theoretical part. Mutual inequalities of those layers depend mainly on the level of work position which is related to particular layers. Pupils perceive different social status among vertically segmented vocational groups to be justified because individuals within those categories are distinguished by different personality traits. Work with pupil's portfolio at primary school

This Master's thesis is divided into the theoretical and research part. The theoretical part is focused on the concept of primary education, in particular on the area of key competences. The thesis submits methods through which pupil's key competences can be developed. The major focus is placed on the pedagogical device which develops key competences and that is a pupil's portfolio. The thesis describes different types of the portfolio as well as its importance especially in the process of self-assessment of the pupil. The main aim of the research part is to investigate the benefits of using the pupil's portfolio and to describe its forms in different grades at primary school. This part is primarily focused on the concept of working with portfolio at two different primary schools. There are also interviews with teachers and pupils which suggest arguments why working with the portfolio is beneficial and what possible difficulties can occur. Responses which were received from the interviews with teachers show that the main benefits of working with the pupil's portfolio include the possibility of gathering pupil's works at one place, developing some system, storing of works, providing and documenting of pupil's results. All this is can be used especially during consultations with parents and the pupil.
Swimming training of pupils at the lower school of primary schools

My dissertation involves teaching students in elementary schools. The task of my theoretical portion is retaining basic swimming lessons for children in swimming schools. The practical portion is focused on the findings of the children's abilities based upon the output and input test of basic swimming skills. Another part of the practical portion involves creating a twenty hour educational program and design the classroom's cirrculum. Between the main methods of my research, it involves observing children, and scoring their abilities to accomplish basic swimming skills with comparing obtained data. First class primary school pupil and its adaptation in the social sphere from the perspective of parents and elementary school teachers

The diploma thesis deals with the adaptation 1st class primary school pupils, to the school environment in social area. It is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is focused on the process of adaptation pupil to the school environment, it explains the concept of socialization, analyzing school maturity, the readiness and the terms of school education. The practical part is based on a combination of quantitative and qualitative research. The method of questionnaire, interview and observation provides the identified data to deal with the issue of adaptation pupil at the 1st class primary school in the social field and analyzes the attitude of parents and first class teachers to the adaptation pupils to the school environment in the social sphere. The aim of the diploma thesis is analyzing the opinion to that issue by parents and first class primary school teachers.
Aggression of Pupils Against Teacher and its Solution in Chosen Schools

The present thesis addresses the aggression of the pupil against the teacher, with the focus on the secondary school environment. In the first chapter focused on theory I aim to describe aggression, its related terms and the viewpoint of related literature. The second part studies the aggression in schoolchildren, its particularities and preconditions. The empirical part of the thesis starts in the third chapter: I analyse the sources of the society's information about youth aggression, i.e. media and police statistics. Finally, the fourth chapter describes my own research, a survey among secondary school teachers. This project aims to find out how teachers perceive the aggression of contemporary youth, and to compare the results with the findings of a similar research done in 2008. Classrooms' psychosocial climate in the secondary schools of different focus

Master's thesis "Classrooms' psychosocial chmate in the secondary schools of different focus" is divided into the theoretical part and the practical part. In the theoretical part the main focus is dedicated to an explanation of the basic terms concerning the theme followed by the analysis of its parts. This is mainly an analysis of classroom development, stages, types of class climate and mapping the factors that contribute to create the climate in the class including gender difference. The key attitudes towards the class climate research, the exploratory method which has been used in the practical part also play an important role in the theoretical part. The empirical part focuses on diagnosis of classrooms'climate at selected secondary schools of different focus in the region Klatovy and summarizes the results received by quantitative method through selected standardized questionnaire KLIT. The aim of this part is firstly to compare school climate in the secondary schools of different focus including evaluation of stated hypothesis in the research and secondly interpret the discovered information.
Theme of transcendency in Educational Programme for Elementary Education and its conception in the school textbooks

i ABSTRACT The aim of the diploma thesis is to find out, whether in The Framework Educational Programme for Elementary Education there are topics related to transcendence and whether these topics can be found in textbooks for primary schools. Another aim is to suggest recommendations for teachers, how to develop transcendence in pupils of a primary school. The thesis is focused on development of the vertical direction of transcendence. The theoretical part deals with meaning of the term transcendence. Further, The Framework Educational Programme for Elementary Education is analysed. In the research part of the thesis there is described preparation and realization of the analysis of textbooks and also presentation and interpretation of the data gathered by this way. This part is complemented by preparation and realization of interviews with younger school- aged children. The realized interviews were concentrated on the observation of respondents' interest in topics related to the vertical direction of the overlap. In the conclusion of the thesis there are introduced specific recommendations for development of vertical transcendence in children of primary schools. Educational problems of children in a difficult life situation

This thesis is focused on educational problems of children in a difficult life situation. The theoretical part deals with social pedagogical concept of a difficult situation in life. It also goes about coping of those situations and their specifics in children. It focuses on child endangerment of his family background and its consequences and symptoms at school. It also describes the various teachers' approaches to the child's situation. The practical part using qualitative research methods, in-depth interviews and document analysis examines the concrete manifestation of difficult life situations from the perspective of three children and their teachers with emphasis on their understanding, assessment and approach to this situation. The difficult life situation of children showed on many levels at school. It revelas at the level of relations with classmates, at the level of behavior, school performance, relationship to the teacher, etc. Teachers' attitudes were mostly responsive and supportive.
