NĚMEČKOVÁ, Klaudie
Any kind of illness or disability has influence on the whole family, not just on individual. The whole situation, values, norms and the lifestyle of the family members changes. Taking care of disable child is usually exhausting physically and psychically. There could be feeling of guilt, emotional trauma and questions -"Why is my child disabled?". It is individual how would each family member accept this fact. If it is long-term there could be psychosomatical problems. That's why it is very important to take care our mind, so that's how we can stay positive. The bachelor thesis deals with the difficulty of taking care of disabled child and let people know more about it. It should alert about psychical, somatical and psychosomatical problems, which could appear at parents or siblings, who are often left out and have to help their brother or sister. The next task is to find out the options of family psychohygiene and how could we help when the psychosomatic problems appear. The next task is connected with social workers, who cooperate with the disabled families. I would like to find out how difficult is to work with this families and describe how to help and proceed the prevention. The theoretical part deals with families, disability, beginning of psychosomatical problems, options of prevention and how to solve them. The empirical part presents acquired data, summary and answers on research questions. The research was qualitative, data were acquired while interview, the method of data processing was qualitative content analysis. The results show that it was very traumatical for parents to accept the fact about their child diagnosis. The health of family members was affected due to the exhausting care. Parents often perceive the negative approach to their-selves. They don't have enough information about the disability and other help. This bachelor thesis could be useful for society and familes as a source of information. It could help doctors and social workers as well. It could show them that taking care of these children is very difficult and the emotional part should't be forgotten. Society, doctors and social workes should think about parents as very important people. To live in these conditions is not easy and it is necessary to have time for their-selves.
