The analysis of mental skills and mental training in professional tennis players

Abstract Title: The analysis of mental skills and mental training in professional tennis players Objectives: The purpose of this thesis is to determine and analyze the level of mental skills as well as elucidate which techniques from the field of mental training are used by professional tennis players. Methods: In this thesis, a qualitative type of research was used. A case study of seven professional tennis players was conducted in which the following methods were used: structured interview with open questions, participant observation and document analysis. Results: The final findings of this thesis are that top tennis players have different levels of mental skills. The results have proven that the higher a tennis player ranks, the better results were showed. Accordingly, players who are ranked higher than the 50th place according to the ATP ranking achieved significantly better results. Keywords: Mental skills, mental training
The use of psychological preparation for musical dancers

Title: The use of psychological preparation for musical dancers Objectives: The aim of the bachelor thesis is to describe the psychological skills of musical performers, to determine the use of these skills and assess whether the rate of utilization depends on education, gender, age and length of practice. Methods: The thesis has the character of empirical and theoretical research and includes the elements of quantitative research. Examined group was composed of N=30 musicals dancers who were responding to TOPS questionnaire that examines the use of psychological skills among athletes. The Pearson's correlation coefficient was applied to find out the relation between the usage of psychological skills among musical dancers, their age and length of practice. Differences with regard to gender and education in musical related field were examined as well. Results: The results did not demonstrate clear reliance of psychological skills usage on the age of the dancers and the length of the musical experience. Comparison of scores of psychological skills of men and women; dancers who have related educational background and who do not, has revealed an increased use of these skills among women and dancers educated in related field. Level of football referees psychological preparation

Title: Level of football referees psychological preparation Objectives: One of the aims of this study is to describe mental skills and to highlight importance of psychological preparation for football referees and describe options of psychical preparation. Next of the aims will be found which mental skills are most using by referee by their work. Third aim will be attest hypothesis about using mental skills in correlation with experiences. Methods: In our study we used method of analysis for analysing psychological preparation, measurement method for obtaining data with using TOPS questionary. Next we by using statistical method of spearman corelation coeficient found correlation between using mental skills and experiences. Method of comparation was used for comparing results of TOPS questionary of footbal referees and TOPS results of other groups of sportmens. Results: On examined sample (n = 29) we found by using spearman corelation coeficient some significant correlation of positive and negative direction.
