Šťastný, Michal ; Šoltys, Otakar (advisor) ; Hronová, Tereza (referee)
Information on the marketability of the yellow press or tabloid media reveal that the yellow press is the strongest type of printed periodical media. It is therefore clear that this media have a big impact. My thesis seeks to evaluate the persuasive power of the media regarding the opinions of customers and consumers. To substantiate or refute claims that the tabloid media has persuasive power, I chose StarDance IV as a case study. Audience of this competition send their votes to support the dance couples performing during the contest stage. In a world with no yellow press, the basic television audience of this show would appreciate each performance strictly for what it is, and with their own non professionnal criterias: an esthetic and emotional judgement of people they only know through what the program choses to show of them. Dream in photography
KAMENSKÁ, Julie
This academic-practical Bachelor's thesis attempts to outline various approaches to the depiction of dream imagery through the medium of photography. The first part of the academic section juxtaposes the interpretation of the meanings of dreams with regard to two theories Sigmund Freud's depth psychology and Carl Gustav Jung's theory of optimism. Furthermore, it is concerned with imagination as such, i.e. the ability to evoke mental images of memories or entirely new visions transformed into the visual art of photography. The second part of the academic section presents diverse artistic approaches to imaginary photographies: Spanning from pictorialism, surrealism up to postmodern photographies and contemporary tendencies. The practical section of the thesis thematically continues the academic one by presenting five dream photographies. The comprehensive collection with the name "The Photographies of a Single Night" was inspired by my own dreams.
