The role of a social worker during integration of clients working in prostitution industry

The aim of this thesis is the introduction of resocialisation process of women offering paid sexual services and methods, which are used by social workers during interactions with female prostitutes. Furthermore, this thesis introduces selected organisations, which help aforementioned women. The first chapter of this thesis explains the concept and meaning of prostitution and personality traits and typology of women offering paid sexual services. Further, types, forms of prostitution and what motivates women to enter prostitution is explained. This chapter also briefly summarizes the history of prostitution from antiquity to contemporary society. Second chapter consists of czech legislative, which defines legality of prostitution and related phenomena. Third chapter explains the process of resocialisation itself, what accompanies leaving the sex business and narrative of two sexual workers, who managed to leave the sex business. This chapter is also comprised of method used by social workers during their interactions with female prostitutes and possibilities of preventing the exclusion of prostituting women from legal labour market. In this chapter are also mentioned organisations, which are helping this specific group. In particular, organisation ROZKOŠ bez RIZIKA and La Strada.
