Thesis, following the studio project subject AG32 is a development study of this subject to the level of documentation for building permits and documentation for the execution of the project. The subject matter is the subject of a residential building with a business on the ground floor. The building is situated in the city of Brno Židenice place in a corner vacant lot a block of houses and apartment buildings. In the immediate vicinity of the proposed building is an industrial zone and a very busy road move, which follows the D1 motorway. It is these negative influences around a significant lack of greenery formed the basis of my main idea of the concept and overall construction. The aim of my work was to create a design that respects the unwritten regulation in their surroundings and also excels in terms of processing. Designed building offers a lucrative living with a piece of nature inside the house and helps to increase the attractiveness of this district. The associated functions of the apartment building I chose the pediatrician's office. In terms of architectural design respects the existing street line, the height level and simple vocabulary surroundings. Artistic intention was to achieve a minimalist design using the system facing glass-fiber-concrete boards Polycon. One component of this material is a photocatalytic cement TioCem technology TX Active. This component is referred to as "active" building material via photocatalysis decomposes harmful substances in the air and contributes to the quality of air in your neighborhood. The proposal is also an emphasis on economic built-up areas, rational available both in use and in terms of construction and maximum illumination of the interior.

Prachař, Jakub ; Žalmanová, Petra (referee) ; Šindlar, Jiljí (advisor) ; Kacálek, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is based on my architectural study which was made in the winter semester of my third year. The subject of my thesis is children, youth and adult leisure centre, which is located in a gap between the apartment building and the gymnasium on Mojmírovo náměstí in Brno-Královo Pole. The building is intended to complement the needs of residents of this city district. Complex contains two buildings (building S01 and S02). Inside you can find large and small multipurpose hall, two music classrooms and 3 normal classrooms. Building S01 has four floors and has two separate operating units - large multipurpose hall and leisure center (class rooms). Building S02 is single-storey and contains small multipurpose hall. The street facade has white plaster that contrasts with the black aluminum construction. This element reflects with the park on Mojmírovo náměstí, but also aims to draw attention to the building and its content. On the roof is a terrace with shelter structure that allows climbing plants to grow up. This will create a small "oasis" on the roof in the middle of the city. In the courtyard is designed space with a fountain, which is located on the axis of a large window in multipurpose hall. An access pavement connecting this yard with Košinova Street on the northeast side of the plot is also designed for the axis.
Hlinky Town House in the Old Brno district
Pill, Tomáš ; Bělovský, Michal (referee) ; Májek, Jan (advisor) ; Hradil, Dušan (advisor)
The topic of this bachelor thesis is the design of a town house in a gap on street Hlinky. The site is located in Staré Brno. The site has an important location - the foot of the Yellow Hill, near Brněnské výstaviště. The site is a narrow rectangle with a shorter side facing the street. It is accessible from only one side. Current usage is for three automobile garages, but is mostly unused. Retaining wall crossing site, stops the slope from the north side. The designed object responds to its location with a mass and spatial solution. It tries to fill in broken street line, connects the two adjacent buildings. In terms of height, the building creates a slight local height dominant, but suppresses its height by gradual pushing in of the top floors and their material differentiation. This also reflects the usage layout of the floors. The building uses the whole site. Functionally, the building is designed as a mixed-use house with a predominant administrative function, and the secondary component is permanent housing, namely two apartments. The building thus respects the existing master plan. One of the design's priorities was natural lighting. The site allows sun tho pass to the building only from the southern and northern side. This fact was key to the mass and layout design. The layout consists of a closed narrow strip where stairs, elevator and sanitary facilities are located and an open space with a glass façade on both sides. All rooms which require daylight the most and do not prevent light from reaching central part of layout are located on the southern façade.

Slunečková, Magdaléna ; Hrabec, Josef (referee) ; Šindlar, Jiljí (advisor) ; Berková, Petra (advisor)
The work deals with a design of Culture centre in Brno located on the gap site in front of park Obilní trh on Údolní street. An urban design concept keeps all of existing buildings that are currently in use and completes a frontage line of surrounding historic buildings. Broader entrance area is created by a cantilevered structure. Main point of the design is a courtyard, or a big atrium with symetrically curved shape, allowing daylighting and interconnection of inner spaces. Architectural design is given by a concept of the cultural center being a „sprouted grain“, or a place for talent display and collective evolution. Hallway, passageway, corridors and foyer are placed around a courtyard, space dynamics is itensified with a circular staircase. The Building of the Cultural center is composed of two parts: anterior one (northern part) with a courtyard and posterior one with bigger multipurpose hall and its support area (southern part), set in a sloping terrain. Anterior part consists of several rooms of versatile use (smaller hall, practice rooms, clubrooms) and studios that can be linked together to create an exhibition area, plus staff, technical and sanitary facilities. On street level, there are entrances to commercial spaces and a tea-room with a bookstore. A street-facing facade (northern one) is designed as a curtain wall, glazed in central part with circular staircase and thin marble pannels cladding on sides.
