5 TITLE: Possibilities of gaining financial means for running and development of the public elementary art school AUTHOR: Simona Hrubá DEPARTMENT: Education Management Center SUPERVISOR: Ing. Petr Svoboda, Ph.D. ABSTRACT: This bachelor thesis analyses which possibilities public elementary art schools make use of when getting finance for their running and development. In more detail the thesis deals with the support of these schools by their founders, if the schools carry on complementary activities, if they were forced to increase payments for education, if they have sponzors, if they were granted gifts or whether a civic association operates at school. It has been also analysed to which extent the school management is informed about possibilities of drawing subsidies from grant programmes announced by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, by local administrative units or by the EU. In theoretical part of the thesis these possibilities are described from general point of view. In the research part it has been analysed questionnaire survey, dealing with the concrete results regarding the monitored fields of financing, realized in public elementary schools in the Czech Republic. The impacts of membership of the Czech Republic in the European Union on the local small and medium enterprises

The goal of this thesis was to analyze the conditions of small and medium-sized businesses after the Czech Republic joined the EU. I emphasized finding suitable recommendations for entrepreneurs how to care for future development and prosperity. Another goal was to analyze the state subsidy policy supporting this type of businesses and to find out about entrepreneurs` demands regarding such subsidies. The main goal was to propose recommendations how to improve the competitiveness of small and medium-sized firms. The first part of my thesis makes the reader familiar with definitions and the life cycle of small and medium-sized firms, their history, advantages and disadvantages, the present state of the Czech Republic and in the end with partnerships and alliances as a solution of typical problems of small and medium-sized enterprises. Another part concerns subsidies for small and medium-sized enterprises in 2004 to 2006 and 2007 to 2013 stating the most important among them in detail. The third part is a questionnaire and two polls trying to find the needs of small and medium-sized firms as for subsidies. Based on an analysis of these needs recommendations were made to improve the competitiveness of small and medium-sized businesses.

Význam malého a středního podnikání v rozvojových programech mikroregionu Kroměřížsko

Hlavním cílem diplomové práce je postihnout úlohu malého a středního podnikání v rozvojových programech mikroregionu Kroměřížsko. Diplomová práce je zaměřena na možnosti podpory malého a středního podnikání z prostředků státního rozpočtu České republiky a z prostředků Evropské unie. V teoretické části práce se zabývám vymezením základních pojmů o malém a středním podniku, charakterizuji podnikatelské prostředí v České republice a uvádím jeho silné a slabé stránky. Uvádím problematiku regionálního uspořádání a struktury České republiky, základy regionální politiky, formy podpory malého a středního podnikání, ekonomické a sociální přínosy malých a středních podniků. Jednotlivé kapitoly jsem doplnila aktuálními informacemi v průběhu zpracování diplomové práce. V praktické části analyzuji prostředí mikroregionu. Zaměřila jsem se na analýzu demografické struktury mikroregionu, jeho vybavenost vybranými druhy zařízení a na analýzu podnikatelského prostředí v mikroregionu. Pozornost jsem zaměřila na programy a projekty v souvislosti s Evropskou unií.
