Motivation to help the profession of social worker
KUBEŠOVÁ, Kristýna
The bachelor's thesis deals with the motivation that leads social workers to choose a helping profession and stay in it. The theoretical part of the work is devoted to grasping the basic concepts and different approaches to motivation in connection with the exercise of the profession of social worker. The practical part deals with the analysis of the so called professional collage of 9 respondents from helping professions. Professional collages are created by social workers who already have some experience in this field. The practical part is also supplemented by interviews with social workers. The aim of the bachelor's thesis is to reveal the hidden motives of social workers for the performance of their profession and to compare with the conscious ones (presented, for example, in an interview). The potential offered by occupational collage can also be used to prevent a possible burnout syndrome, which is a risk in helping professions.
