The aim of the thesis was to describe the pruning as an essential element of agricultural technology, its functions and modes of operation. Describe further pruning from the viewpoint of reducing fruit set, what are the possibilities and practical use for this purpose. Emphasize and explain when and how the fruit tree pruning is used to increase the quality of fruit for each fruit species.

Vliv různé intenzity probírky na přírůst v porostech týku (Tectona grandis) založeného ve sponu 1 x 1 m

The aim of this work was to find out the effect of three different cultivation interventions on teak forest (Tectona grandis) based on Nicaragua plantations in an unusual spacing 1x1m and to determine which of these interventions have the best influence in terms of the growth of wood mass and consequent mechanical stability of the overgrown stands. A height and thickness measurement of trees in the area of interest was carried out in 2014-2017. It was always a series of three types of thinning (schematic with 75% reduction, schematic combination with positive selection with 45% reduction and individual negative trench with about 55% reduction, one control area was left without intervention) in three replicates for stands based on years 2006, 2007 and 2008. According to our results, the best intervention is those with 75 % of reduction.

Srovnání vývoje smíšeného porostu s různým pěstebním managementem pomocí růstového simulátoru

The aim of this diploma thesis was to compare the development of mixed forest stands with different silvicultural management. For comparison, the SIBYLA forest biodynamic growth simulator was used. Four variants of silvicultural management were established: none (sanitacion) thinning, thinning, 100 target trees method, and 50 target trees method. All of them were applied to two research plots. Based on a comparison of the results of all variants, the most appropriate option for the given plot was selected. For the stand 19F5 growth on the first research plot, thinning was selected as the best variant. For the stand 322D4 on the second research plot, 100 target trees was selected as the most appropriate method.
