Joachimová, Marie ; Radvanský, Jiří (advisor) ; Illinger, Vojtěch (referee)
INTRODUCTION: Metabolic syndrome is a cluster of risk factors which tend to occur together and belong to the main causes of cardiovascular disease and type 2 diabetes mellitus. In the treatment of metabolic syndrome dominates pharmacotherapy of the individual components. However, this therapy usually addresses the consequences rather than the causes and puts the patient in the position of a passive recipient of drugs. Emotional Neglect of Children in Families
BŘICHÁČKOVÁ, Lenka
The bachelor work {\clqq}Emotional neglect of children in families`` is divided into two main parts. The first, theoretical part is based on basic terminology and basic informations of the CAN syndrom (Child abuse and neglect). It makes acquainted us with the basic terms of that problem with the differences between physical, sexual, emotional abuse and neglect and their consequences for children´s life. Further there is described a question of preventation and facilities of diagnosis and therapy. The end of the theoretical part is engaged in the social workers´s view at the problem of abused and neglected children. The practical part of this work is more concentrated on the question of emotional neglected children of {\clqq}early school age``. Just this age-category of respondentes was a main source of data, needful for my social inquiry. My social inquiry was based on the method of conversation on the strength of the questionary with the respondentes, which I have realized in one of elementary schools in Strakonice. I have given my prepared questions to children in age of seven to eleven years old. Due to their answers I have achieved important results, which confirm or disprove my hypoteses.
