The education necessity of amateur male public in the scope of prostate disease prevention.
LESKOVJANOVÁ, Lucie
The title of this Bachelor{\crq}s thesis is ``The necessity of education of the non-professional male public, within the prevention of prostate disease{\crqq}. It deals with the questions of prostate disease and the prevention thereof in general. This subject is very topical due to the increasing occurrence of prostate disease in men. I set up four objectives in this thesis: surveying the information at the disposal of the non-professional male public within the prevention of prostate disease. Finding out what particular information nurses need for the education of clients within the prevention of prostate disease. Finding out what information the non-professional male public need within the prevention of prostate disease. Compiling the education booklet ``The prevention of prostate disease``, based on the analysis of the information gained. Following this, three research questions were asked: What information do the non-professional male public have at their disposal within the prevention of prostate disease? What information do the non-professional male public need within the prevention of prostate disease? What particular information do nurses need for the education of clients within the prevention of prostate disease? The research investigation that concerned nurses was conducted at the České Budějovice Hospital a.s., in private urological and general practitioners{\crq} surgeries in České Budějovice. The next investigation conducted concerned the non-professional male public between the ages of 40 and 70 years in České Budějovice. Each of the sets questioned (nurses and the non-professional male public) had 8 respondents. Qualitative investigation was conducted with all respondents, who were asked questions prepared in advance, by the unstructured conversation technique. The analysis of the questions obtained from the non-professional male public gave rise to the information booklet ``The prevention of prostate disease``, which was tested by an inquiry. The objectives of the Bacherlor{\crq}s thesis were fulfilled. Two answers to the research questions and a hypothesis were set up on the basis of the research investigation. Answer No. 1: Men have, within the prevention of prostate disease, information on regular prevention examinations, urination troubles, healthy life style, reducing of cycling, sedentary jobs, regular urination, non-retention of urination in uriesthesis, using medicaments according to the physician{\crq}s prescription, regular movement, reducing of smoking and the prevention of colds. Answer No. 2: The non-professional male public need, within the prevention of prostate disease, information on the prevention of tumorous diseases, prevention of inflammatory diseases, prevention of prostate hypertrophy, the diagnostics of prostate disease and the treatment of prostate disease. H1: Nurses have no need to obtain specific information for the education within the prevention of prostate disease. The investigation results in the conclusion that the education within the prevention of prostate disease is really important. An important aspect to support the education is application of the compiled information booklet in health centres focusing on urological troubles, or in general practitioners{\crq} surgeries.
Gambling in Juveniles
VÍŠKOVÁ, Michaela
I have chosen the topic of my bachelor paper ``Gambling in Juveniles{\crq}q because of its seriousness and topicality. The pathologic gambling has been more and more penetrating among juveniles to whom it causes, in the same way as in the adult population, more and more serious problems in the socio-economic sphere. This serious social pathologic phenomenon can be compared to drug addiction even though it does not damage human body in such fatal way. However, it affects the sphere of human psyche as well as the sphere of one{\crq}s social relations. And in the same way as drug addiction it has, in many cases, fatal impact on human life. My bachelor paper aims at finding out the extent and triggers of gambling in the population of high school juveniles in the area of Havlíčkův Brod. In the theoretic part of the paper specifics of gambling in children and juveniles are described as well as possible prevention of this phenomenon. Further diagnostic criteria of a pathologic gambler are described, the personality of a gambler is characterized, stages of development of pathologic gambling are defined and the corresponding legislature is dealt with. To fulfill the outlined goals, data were collected by means of the method of quantitative survey using anonymous questionnaires at six high school type schools (gymnasiums, professionally oriented high schools, craft oriented high schools). The questionnaires monitor students{\crq} experience with gambling machines and their reasons for gambling. The questionnaires further monitor students{\crq} awarness of the issue as well as prevention carried out at school they study at. On the basis of the survey I have checked three presumed hypotheses. Hypothesis 1: Students of craft oriented high schools yield more frequently to gambling than students of other high school types and gymnasiums. This hypothesis proved right. Hypothesis 2: Boys tend to yield to gambling more than girls. Also this hypothesis proved right. Hypothesis 3: Juveniles yield to gambling machines and to gambling more often under the influence of another person than from their own tending. This hypothesis proved wrong. The results of my bachelor paper can be used for the needs of further survey, for the needs of teaching and preventive measures at educational institutions and to increase the awareness concerning the gambling problematics in juveniles.
Non-profit organizations working in the field of the prevention of eating disorders
OBSTOVÁ, Lucie
This Bachelor?s Thesis focuses on non-profit organization where the prevention of eating disorders is concerned. The Theoretical Part provides a description of eating disorders, focusing on mental anorexia, mental bulimia and the prevention implemented by non-profit organizations. The Practical Part concentrates on defining the aim of this Bachelor?s Thesis, the methods applied and the characteristics of the target group. The first aim of was to map out non-profit organizations specializing in the prevention of eating disorders. The second aim was to determine how these non-profit organizations operate where prevention and public education are concerned. Data was obtained through qualitative research. Questioning was applied as the research method. Controlled interviews represented the data collection technique. The target group to be researched were non-profit organizations from all over the Czech Republic that deal with the prevention of eating disorders. Two non-profit organizations agreed to participate in the research project. The research project ran from March to June 2011. Research results showed that there are not enough non-profit organizations in the Czech Republic that specialize in the topic under review. Furthermore, research established that Anabell, an unincorporated organization with several branches, holds a leading position in the Czech Republic. Research results also proved that non-profit organizations do not run enough prevention programs and that the public education programs that they run in the Czech Republic are insufficient. This Bachelor?s Thesis may inspire the creation of a wider range of prevention programs and also the spreading of the network of non-profit organizations in the Czech Republic. It may also serve as a source of information for parents and schools where eating disorders are concerned.

Questions of narcotics and psychotropic agents abusus extraordinary events in region České Budějovice
BÍLEK, Jaroslav
I have chosen the topic of my bachelor thesis about psychotropic narcotics as cause of emergency because drugs seem to be a part of our society. Drug abuse and the drug scene do not affect only the individuals but also their surroundings and on a larger scale almost the whole society. Drug problematics has often been analysed and evaluated in public. Although everybody of us knows the phenomenom of drug addiction, some of us meet it even in everyday life and a lot of knowledge, advice and warnings has already been written and declared on such a topic, it has still been an actual problematics to which the society takes up various standpoints. Measure of tolerance or the opposite repressive aproach depends on historical tradition of drug taking in a society, on the geographical location of a state, its tradition, economical situation even political orientation. Currently our republic stands on a crossroads of drug ways and does not only perform a function of a so called transit country any more but more and more it is going to be also the final destination. The current state has been caused by the politics formed since 1990, unprepared legislation, unprepared police, state prosecution and courts, last but not least health service and prevention when this logically resulted in a rocket growth of drug users and crrently this number has being increased geometrically. Approximately since 1994 we can speak about an open drug scene in terms of the Czech Republic. The specification of drug problematics from the view of criminal law and that means also from police praxis is, that compared to the medical point of view a drug addicted person shall not always be just a victim. Under given circumstances under the law such a person can become a criminal in a direct connection with the taken drug and addiction to it. My bachelor thesis is aimed to the description of three spheres. The firts sphere deals with drug approach (drugs as a worldwide problem, development of the drug scene in a region, drug categories), in the second sphere I have described narcotics and psychotropics as one of the causes of emergency car accidents and the third sphere deals with evaluation of the real state of PN in emergencies.
PREVENTION OF HUMAN TRAFFICKING CONDUCTED AT SECONDARY SCHOOLS
KRÁLOVÁ, Martina
Even though 79% of the surveyed students claim they have heard the term ``human trafficking{\crq}q, only 14% can define this term accurately. On the basis of the information obtained, a conclusion was arrived at that the level of information about human trafficking among students at Kolín-district secondary schools is inadequate. The students themselves said in their opinions that they did not have enough information about human trafficking, thus confirming this fact. The benefit and sense of this dissertation was to map the still uncharted territory of Kolín-district secondary schools from the viewpoint of human trafficking and to conduct a lecture. Compared to other issues, the prevention of human trafficking is neglected. Therefore, lectures should be conducted on this issue, which should even be integrated into the curriculum, in particular in the subjects of citizenship and the basics of social sciences.
Smoking prevalence in students of the Faculty of Health and Social Studies, the University of South Bohemia.
SLAVÍČKOVÁ, Klára
Smoking is becoming a huge problem not only in the Czech Republic but in all developed countries of the world. It is thus worldwide pandemics, which is necessary to take precautions against. Although the smoking prevalence in middle aged men and women is decreasing, it is increasing in both sexes of younger age groups. Especially, the big problem is occasional as well as regular smoking since the age of ten already. This exactly increases the importance of smoking prevalence. Significant role is played by the healthy life style education which should be provided by a family as well as the school educational system. In smokers there is a higher risk of respiratory and cardiovascular diseases; smokers have also higher inclination toward the onset of cancer than non-smokers. The most serious is bronchogenic carcinoma. The thesis was processed by a quantitative way using questionnaires. The research groups were the students of full-time study in the Faculty of Health and Social Studies, the University of South Bohemia. The main objective was to map the occurrence of smoking in students in selected study programmes of the faculty. I stated three hypotheses for the research. Hypothesis 1, students of the faculty are addicted to nicotine and are not satisfied with their addiction, was proved. Hypothesis 2, smokers prevail non-smokers in the group of investigated students, was not proved. Hypothesis 3, students do not lack information on smoking harmfulness, was proved. The research showed that 41.1% women and 40% men suffer from middle addiction to nicotine. The thesis should serve as an information source for the students and lecturers of the faculty and further it might initiate the establishment of the faculty anti-smoking clinic.
CHILD BULLING AND THE LAW
SMOLA, Zdeněk
The main reason for undertaking this analysis and synthesis of the findings into the present state of the socio-pathological behaviour of child bullying is the unsatisfactory and complicated situation we find when dealing with this phenomenon. When examining the subject of school bullying in the first instance (within a school), the basic problem is the definition of bullying. We can only use a definition which is acceptable by all three basic subjects: the pupil, the school and the legal guardian of the child. Criminal law does not recognize the definition of bullying as such. The explanation of the actual situation is specifically given in this thesis. Even the definitions quoted by the experts and those found in specialized literature cannot be taken as the final words because they can be easily questioned and undermined. This subject cannot be catigorized by anyone and this based upon the grounds that another of version of the definition of the term can be preferred. This thesis also pays attention to criminal law, as well as finding the means for the prevention of bullying and further education on this subject, as they are all essential parts in combating this socio-pathological phenomena. The qualitative research has been aimed in gathering the relevant information concentrated in the following specific areas: that of primary education, the statistics from the Police of the Czech Republic and also upon the data gathered by the Sdružení Linka bezpečí (the Czech Telepohne Line for Children), as well as the Probation and Mediation Services in Třebíč Region. This research also includes national statistical data from the Police of the Czech Republic and chosen NGOs. To support the finding that have been collected, this data cannot be generalized. Therefore it is necessary to observe certain legal conditions which prevent the objectivity of this research. This mainly concerns the data regarding the perpetrators (aggressors) of bullying who are minors, even though there is no doubt that they are guilty of the crime.

The hazards of harmful chemical substances in metal production environment, measuring and assessment.
GRUBEROVÁ, Michaela
The target of the thesis was to evaluate the risk of chemical harmful substances and dust in the working air of metal production. Four research questions were asked: {\clqq}What harmful substances are fixed in the working environment of the metal production?`` {\clqq}Are the hygienic limits of chemical substances and dust in the working environment of metal production observed?``, {\clqq}What measures were taken by the employer for the purpose of the health protection of employees?`` and {\clqq}Are the measures taken by the employer for the purpose of the health protection of employees effective?`` The thesis was treated as qualitative research. The followed file consisted of three South Bohemian companies dealing with metal production. The method of the direct, non participating and clear observation was applied for the data collection, moreover the study of documents {--} testing reports. The secondary analysis of data was performed. The results of measuring were compared with the hygienic limits fixed by the Directive of government No. 361/2007 Coll.. The evaluated professions were divided in categories pursuant the Directive No. 432/2003 Coll. In the working air of metal production, the concentration of the total dust, chromium, hexavalent chromium, carbon monoxide and ozone were followed. The last measuring in the monitored workshops proved that the hygienic limits were observed, except for two cases when the highest acceptable concentration determined for chromium and the chromium (II,III) compounds as Cr, and of the hygienic limit for welding fumes were exceeded. The most important protective measure applied by the employers on their workplaces was the reconstruction of air-conditioning, or installation of local exhausting. In view of the gradual decrease of the harmful substance in the working air in connection to the taken measures may be stated that the given measures were effective. The hypothesis {\clqq}Modernisation of operations in metal production improves the working environment of employees and in the modern operations no above-the-limit values of the most monitored harmful substances were found out. ``
