Use of educational stimulation groups in kindergarten

This diploma work Use of educational stimulation groups program is focused on prevention of children failure in the beginning of school attendance by their participation in stimulation program together with their parents. Aim of the diploma work was to find out whether and how the selected program influenced development of weakend partial areas of children who attended this program and opinions of parents on this program. The diploma work is divided into theoretical and practical part. Theoretical part contains three chapters. First chapter characterizes preschool age and all fields of child 's development. Second chapter focuses on particularity of preschool education, legislation, binding documents, educational influence of the family, clarifies terms of school maturity and readiness and introduces some of the stimulation programs. Third chapter is theoretical solution of the stimulation program examined in the practical part, introduces individual areas important for successful start at school and practical activities developing weakend partial areas of the children. Competences of pre-school teachers in drama teaching

The thesis is divided into two blocks - the theoretical part and the empirical part. The first chapter of the theoretical part deals with pre-school education in general, with the educational mission of kindergartens in compliance with the FEP PSE, with pre- school age specifics, with a kindergarten teacher and his/her professional competences. The second and the third chapters deal with drama education in a kindergarten and with competences of pre-school teachers in drama teaching. In the empirical part I explore the approach to drama education in pre-school education in Jindřichův Hradec and preparedness of local teachers in the field of competences in drama teaching. The research has shown that most teachers consider drama education one of the most important elements of pre-school education. They have social and personality competences, among which they include empathy, understanding, tolerance, patience and ability to develop positive relations among children. However hardly anyone is concerned with theory.
Art education and photography in kindergarten

The thesis discusses the possibilities of art activities in kindergarten through visual media, digital photohraphy. The main goal of this work is to offer children a digital photograph as an alternative to classical art techniques and bring the probe into the possibility of meeting with children with visual language from pre-school age. The aim is meaningful application of new methods of educational process through alternative (electronic - digital) media. The research created art projects for the digital photography, which confirmed that the art project focused on digital photography can realize aa included in the program offer kindergarten.
The Education of a Child with Cerebral Palsy in a Kindergarten

The aim of my bachelor thesis is to analyse a particular case of a handicapped child suffering from the cerebral palsy in a mainstream nursery school. The theoretical part deals with the issue of cerebral palsy and the education of children with specific educational needs in nursery schools. The practical part contains the study of the particular development of one child with the cerebral palsy and its educational process in the mainstream nursery school. The thesis observes especially motor skills, communication, autonomy and social inclusion of the child. The thesis has been completed on the basis of annual observation and interviews done with pedagogues, parents and children.
Preschool children with visual disabilities

This bachelor thesis focuses on preschool children suffering from visual impairment. The most common types of childhood sight disorders are described in the first theoretical part. Further on this thesis focuses on the impact of visual impairment on a child´s development as well as supporting activities specific to preschool education of these children. The second practical part contains an activity file suitable to overall development of a child suffering from visual impairment that is followed with recommendations. This part also includes a feedback on some activities which were performed with five particular children attending a kindergarten for children with special needs.
Teacher and health relationship between health of preschool teachers and their profession

The aim of this Final Thesis is to characterize health in all relevant aspects essential for proper understanding of the relation between the "teacher and health". In the first part the author bring forward theoretical basis concerning the quality of health, subjective perception of health, behavior and health supportive life style, risk prevention in occupational safety and pre-professional preparation of teachers. The second part pursues collected data from 60 pedagogues in the questionnaires. The main intention of the empirical part was to reveal and describe the nature of perception of health in relation to the teacher occupation among preschool teachers; what do teachers assess as positive and negative regarding their health and which health problems are seen as obstruction to proper performance of the teacher occupation.
Orff's Instruments Used at Contemporary Pre-school Music Lessons

Target of this thesis is to realize an one-month musical project at one of kindergarten classes while using Orf's musical instruments. Further to find out through a musical test prospective individual contribution of Orf's musical instruments involvement to a musical development of preschool children. Theoretical part of thesis describes a pedagogical reform at musical education, current status of musical education at kindergardens based on a General Education Programm (RVP). Further refers to a psychological aspect of musical development of preschool children, describes Orf's musical instruments itself and its usage at "itegrative pedagogy". Practical part of thesis is dedicated to a survey. It discovers how often, which way and which musical instruments are used at kindergardens. The musical project is performed at one of kindergarten classes via musical test. Musical abbilities and skills of children are investigated and contribution of Orf's musical instruments is verified and evaluated.

TITLE: Speech and language therapy intervention for children with autism spectrum disorders AUTHOR: Michaela Horáková DEPARTMENT: Department of special education SUPERVISOR: Mgr. Lucie Durdilová ABSTRACT: This bachelor thesis is devoted to speech and language therapy for children with autism spectrum disorders. The theoretical part deals with autism spectrum disorders, focusing on their classification, etiology, symptomatology with an emphasis on qualitative impairment in communication, and care options for preschool children with these disorders. The thesis also concerns with the theoretical bases of speech and language therapy intervention provided for children with autism spectrum disorders. The practical part is devoted to communication improvement in special nursery school. It includes case studies of two boys with autism. The aim of this qualitative research investigation is to evaluate children's communication skills, describe the intervention methods to improve their communication, and describe work with children in the classroom, focusing on stimulation of their communication competencies. Forest preschool feasibility study

This thesis deals with the problem concerning the foundation and operation of forest preschools in the Czech Republic. The first forest preschool in the Czech Republic was founded in 2007 and the number of forest preschool has increased to forty-functioning forest preschools. However the forest preschools do not meet the requirements of preschool services. In the Czech Republic is no legislative rules for the operation of forest preschools. Nevertheless the research from abroad confirmed the positive effect on mental and physical development of children at preschool age. Above that the northern countries, Denmark and Germany support the functioning of the forest preschools. The foundation and the operation of forest preschool in the Czech Republic is accompanied with a lot of unclear issues. Because of that, the feasibility study provide a material which will help to future funders to evaluate the feasibility, reasonableness of the project, provide the information which will influence the operation and the foundation of the forest preschool in their neighborhood.
