Colour preferences and personality traits

The bachelor thesis is focused on color preferences and personality traits. They are examined associations of these two phenomena based on the Big Five model of personality paint method Kvinternocolor. Work is divided into two sections - theoretical and empirical part. The theoretical part consists of two main parts. The first contains the subject's personality. It described what a personality is and what is affected. Discusses adopt model of personality Big Five with five dimensions, which includes personality questionnaire NEO-P-IR used in the practical part. The second chapter is all about colors. It contains information about what color means as well as perceived by man. It also focused on psychology of color with an emphasis on color preferences. In conclusion, the method described Kvinternocolor used in art therapy studio in the Czech Budejovice. In the practical part opposite poles compared five personality traits of the Big Five in terms of color preferences, which is determined by KTC. At fifty respondents, is examined trends in color preference of individual personality traits.
How primary children perceive and use colours in graphic activities

The diploma work is concentrated on colours and how primary children perceive them. The theoretical part of this work deals with colour from the view of physics, optics and physiology. The theory of colours also partly touches on history and culture, and - more extensively - on psychological meaning of colours. It is followed by findings in the development of using colours in art expression of children and existing research on preferences of colours. The research part of this work is concentrated on primary children´s preferences of colours and on their differences in relation to age and gender.
Preference colours by children pre-school age

This work includes, what colours pre-school ages children choose for its creative expression. In theoretic parts it is described progress of art skills along pre-school age basic meaning of colours (especially from psychological view and also in other contexts). Exploratory study describes, what colours children in age from three to four years choose most for its creatic sign. The workpoin shows, among other, if it is possible to trace the inclination of the children to selection of the specific colour (or colours).
