Synthesis and characterization of derivatives of militarily important substances
Sláma, Michal ; Cigánek, Martin (referee) ; Mravcová, Ludmila (advisor)
The Organization for the prohibition of chemical weapons verifies the adherence to the Chemical weapons convention. To fulfil this objective, it is necessary to have reliable methods for the identification of chemical warfare agents. Gas chromatography is the most important method in analysis of chemical warfare agents. Central database of prohibited substance is yet not complete and is steadily updated over the years. The experimental part of the diploma thesis describes the preparation of alkyl methylphosphonates. Prepared substances were analysed by means of gas chromatography. Mass spectra and retention indices were obtained.

The catalysts investigated in this work were prepared by co-precipitation of nitrates with aqueous K2CO3/KOH solution, followed by washing the precipitates to varying degrees of potassium content and calcining the precursors at 500 °C for 4 h. Mn-Al potassium salt followed by calcination at 500 °C. Before the catalytic reaction, they were calcined at 700 °C. The catalysts and their precursors were characterized by the following measurement techniques: ICP, DTG, XRD, N2 physisorption, FTIR, H2-TPR, CO2-TPD, XPS, and thermal alkali metal desorption (SR-TAD).\n\n

Effect of Precursor Synthesis on Catalytic Activity of Co3O4 in N2O Decomposition
Chromčáková, Ž. ; Obalová, L. ; Kovanda, F. ; Pacultová, K. ; Kukutschová, J. ; Michalik, S. ; Kustrowski, P. ; Jirátová, Květa
The correlation between methods of preparation, phase composition of precursors, catalytic properties of the related oxide catalysts, and the role of the cobalt ions as catalytic active sites is discussed.

Účinnost destrukce N2O v přítomnosti CO na směsných oxidických Co-Mn-Al katalyzátorech odvozených z Co-Mn-Al hydrotalcitů.
Pacultová, K. ; Obalová, L. ; Jirátová, Květa ; Kovanda, F.
Presence of CO showed a positive effect on the N2O destruction over mixed metal oxide catalyst derived from Co-Mn-Al hydrotalcite precursors, as it can remove the adsorbed oxygen on the catalyst surface. Vice versa presence of oxygen in the reaction mixture has negative effect.
