The concept of St. Nicholas Day with elements of drama education in kindergarten.

The bachelor thesis focuses on the use of elements of drama education in the theme of St. Nicholas Day in kindergartens. The thesis is divided into two parts, a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical part focuses on drama education and different concepts of celebrating St. Nicholas Day in kindergartens. It also touches on the topic of Franz Kett's pedagogy and describes the figure of St. Nicholas and the legends associated with him. Furthermore, the theoretical part deals with the preschool child's fear resulting from the traditional concept of celebrating St. Nicholas Day and explains the concepts of fear and anxiety. In the practical part, a drama lesson focusing on the feast of St. Nicholas is presented. The drama lesson is implemented in five kindergartens of different orientations. In the practical part, interviews with kindergarten teachers are also conducted and the research method of questionnaire is used. The aim of this Bachelor's thesis is to find out how the topic of St. Nicholas is dealt with by the teachers in the different kindergartens and whether this topic can be treated by means of drama education. Impact of reading on vocabulary, text comprehension and fancy of protagonists on children of pre-school age

This thesis is concerned with the impact of reading on vocabulary, text comprehension and fancy of protagonists on pre-school children aged 3 to 6. The purpose of the research part of the thesis is to find out to which extend reading impacts on vocabulary, text comprehension and fancy of protagonists of pre-school children aged 3 to 6. First hypothesis expects that during the one-month project children who are exposed the most to reading and working with a book are going to make the biggest progress in text comprehension and vocabulary. Other two hypotheses try to prove that older children are going to have better results than the youngest research participants at the beginning and the end of the project. Third hypothesis then adds that the youngest, 3 years old, children are going to improve significantly only in the questions that are repeated and that it is due to memorizing, not comprehension. Last hypothesis claims that children most involved in reading are going to take to new favourite characters. School maturity and preparation of the child the 1st grade from the point of view of speech therapy

This diploma thesis deals with speech skills, the skills associated with speech, and children's maturity and readiness for school before starting Year 1 of primary school. Besides, it discusses the methods applied in the children's preparation for school entry. The theoretical part of this work focuses on maturity and readiness for school, and on the other hand immaturity and unreadiness, their diagnosis and deferred school entry. Furthermore, it specifies the characteristics of a pre-school child, describing their motor, cognitive, social and motivational-volitional development. The last section of this part deals with a pre-schooler's communication, and with the language, speech and communication according to the framework educational programme for pre-school education. It also studies the development of communication, risk factors of speech development, communication disorders and a child with communication disorders in nursery school. The introduction to the practical part presents the objectives and the methodology of qualitative research and describes the research sample. Besides, it includes the process, evaluation, and results of a pre-schooler's diagnosis and of a preliminary test of a pre-schooler's maturity. The thesis focuses on the possibilities of caring for pre-school children in educational care centres. The introduction describes the characteristics of a pre-school child and their basic needs. Furthermore, the characteristics of a current family and pre-school institutions in connection with problem behavior are described. The work also focuses on the diagnosis of conspicuous children's behavior and deals in detail with educational care centres. It describes various forms of activities and tasks of the centre.
Education of Preschool Children with Cerebral Palsy

This bachelor thesis focuses on the education of preschool children with cerebral palsy in different educational settings. These are a mainstream nursery school and a day care centre. The essential aim is to find out, how much the choice of pre-school setting affects two children with the same diagnosis in their development and social skills. The work consists of two parts. The theoretical part describes cerebral palsy including its etiopathogenesis, diagnosis, treatment, and specific manifestations, that are typical for children with cerebral palsy. It also explains the system of preschool education in Czechia and options for children with cerebral palsy. The practical part deals with the characteristics of pre-school educational institutions and detailed anamnestic data. It is implemented by qualitative research, in the form of two case studies. Semi-structured interviews with parents and teaching staff, participant observation of children and document analysis are used for data collection. The data obtained from the interviews are processed through content analysis.
The Concept of Mindfulness in a Kindergarten

The bachelor thesis focuses on an issue of mindfulness in kindergarten environment. The theoretical part is devoted to a concise definition of a concept of mindfulness and its continuity (attention, emotions regulation, approaches and disruptive factors). Furthermore, the chapter contains an extensive part focused on children´s mindfulness and its development. The practical part contains an action research implemented depending on a prepared thematic unit that is devoted to children´s mindfulness development, specifically from the inner to outer one. It contains a record of the thematic unit results and a part with children´s reaction repeating exercises. Furthermore, it is devoted to answering research questions and observations or comments for the thematic unit usage. The supplement contains some photos from the thematic unit implementation.
Digital technologies in mainstream and special kindergartens.

The aim of the Bachelor thesis is a comparison of using digital technologies in classrooms of mainstream kindergarten with classrooms of special kindergarten. The next aim is to detect reasons for non-using digital technologies in kindergartens. The theoretical part is about definitions relating to digital technologies, options of pre-school education in the Czech Republic, anchoring of digital education in legislative documents and options of teachers´ education in the digital technology area. Last but not least there are described digital technologies contained in the survey. (Practical part of bachelor´s thesis was processed by a form of quality research, which was realized by respondent survey.) In the practical part there are described aims, hypotheses, methodology of the thesis, survey creation and characteristic of survey sample. By graphs and tables there are described results surveys and verified hypotheses.
The proper way of holding writing accessories regarding pre-school children

The main aim of this bachelor thesis is the right form of holding writing accessories. Teachers nurture and automatize this base habit necessary for primary education in the pre-school years. The outcome of this thesis is to develop a list of activities based on games with which fixation of this habit, right grip, and development of fine motor skills can be achieved. The theoretical part focuses on general motor skill development concerning the children of pre-school years. Moreover, specifically, it deals with the approach which then leads to the grip, and after comes the correctness of the grip. Furthermore, it delves into the problem of laterality and leftism. The outcome of the theoretical part is the definition that postulates whether the advancement in writing motor skills is sufficient. The practical part summarises the results of the questionnaire which is then used as the base for the list of educational activities mentioned above. This list is also completed with the information acquired from vocational publications, internet sources, and other repositories.
The concept of morning physical exercises in kindergarten

This bachelor thesis detects the concept of morning physical exercises performed in the kindergarten. In the theoretical part the author concentrates on kindergarten regime in terms of morning exercises and with respect to Framework Educational Programme for Pre-school Education. She also deals with the impact of exercises on a child?s development (physical, mental and motorial). The last chapter of the theoretical part contains the didactics of morning exercises. It describes, for example, the characteristic, methods and forms of morning exercises. The practical part analyses the results of a questionnaire survey. Kindergarten teachers took part in this survey. The author answers four research questions, which concern organization, structure and contents of the exercises, motivation, teaching aids used, as well as the integration of physical activities into the kindergarten regime. These answers are based on the questionnaire responses. The information gained during the realisation of two units of physical exercises is introduced in the follow-up discussion.
