This bachelor thesis considers problems with preadolescent boys' mental health, focusing on sleep. The theoretical part is oriented on a mental health, mental hygiene, determination of the preadolescent period in boys and problems of right motivation for boys in that age. The research part evaluates observation of sleep norms determined for the age of preadolescents. It is evaluated by diagnostic and interventional methods. The pivotal task of the research part was creating an interventional program for preadolescent boys at the 2nd level of elementary school. Construction and realisation of the program was implemented in cooperation with Iva Macounová. The interventional program was divided into 10 weeks and its aim was to transmit knowledge about sleep problems to a research group and positively change their sleeping habits based on new knowledge from the respondents. A part of the program was creating leaflets {\clqq}With better sleep to better marks``. During the interventional program, unobserved sleeping norms were confirmed, quantity of lost sleep by the time spent in front of computers was recorded. I recommend a submission of a question of sleep in the lessons of the Health education on primary schools.
