Biomass Retrofit 250 MW Steam Turbine
Novák, Martin ; Josef, Švagr (referee) ; Josef, Švagr (referee) ; Fiedler, Jan (advisor)
There is a description of modernisation steam condensing turbine in this Master´s thesis. Electric output is decreased from 250 MW to 160 MW. This thesis is divided into two parts, there is a calculation of heat balance in first part and a calculation of blading in second part. Detail drawing and heat balance are the most important results of this Master´s thesis.
Steam Turbine for Pump Drive
Bureš, David ; Fiedler, Jan (referee) ; Kracík, Petr (advisor)
The aim of this diploma thesis is the design of a condensing steam turbine to drive a pump with a mechanical power of 9 MW. Based on the parameters, a thermodynamic design of the flow channel is performed, including the strength control of the blades, taking into account the API 612 standard. To compensate for the forces arising during operation, a thrust bearing and radial bearings are designed. At the end of the computational part of work, the operational characteristics of the turbine are performed. The appendix contains an idea drawing, which shows a section of the turbine.
Steam Turbine for fossil power plant - MP LP casing
Třináctý, Jan ; Weber, Norbert (referee) ; Fiedler, Jan (advisor)
This thesis describes the design of a condensing steam turbine with reheating for fossil power plant. The turbine is a double parts. The first casing is formed by a simple HP casing. The second casing is combined MP-LP casing with axial outlet of steam into the water-cooled condenser. Feedwater regeneration system consists of two high-pressure heaters, the four low-pressure heaters and feed tank. In thesis is includes the calculation of heat balance and the draft of flow channel of HP and MP-LP casing. Next is a detailed calculation of MP-LP casing with includes calculation of flowing part, selection of blade´s profiles and its stress control. Rotor MP-LP casing is checked for torsion and computed size of the critical speed. Clutch is ispected by security check and draft radial bearings. Stress control casing is carried out according to the theory of thick shells. Work includes flow scheme for 100% and 75% performance. In the end is comparing the efficiency of the individual casing of the turbine with the work 3b together with the specific heat consumption. Work includes a longitudinal section of the MP-LP casing. This thesis has been developed in cooperation Škoda Power, Doosan.
Condensing Steam Turbine with superheating
Urbánek, Martin ; Weber, Norbert (referee) ; Weber, Norbert (referee) ; Fiedler, Jan (advisor)
The thesis is focused on designing of condensing steam turbine with reheating for combustion of biomass. The turbine is developed to be tandem compound-regenerative with five uncontrolled extraction points. Optimization of reheating pressure is made in the turbine's cycle. The turbine outlet is constructed to lead down to the water cooled condenser. Thesis includes the calculation of heat cycle with the draft of flow channel of high pressure and middle-low pressure turbine. Detailed calculation of middle-low pressure turbine, including stress-strength analysis, is performed. The thesis provides an evaluation of flow scheme of 100 % and 75 % of generator’s power output and the drawing of middle-low pressure turbine in longitudinal section.
