MORAVEC, Martin
Introduction: Each nurse will be part of a multidisciplinary team. The differences will be only in the patients who will take care of them, and the goals and implementation plans of multidisciplinary teams will be proportional to that. However, the essence and intention remain the same. Satisfy the needs of the patient and perceive his needs as needs from a holistic being. To do this, more experts from individual fields in a multidisciplinary team are required, who fully cooperate to achieve this goal. Objective: A total of two objectives were set for the bachelor's thesis. The first goal was to evaluate how nurses perceive their position in a multidisciplinary team that cares for the elderly. The second goal was to find out how nurses perceive the benefits of a multidisciplinary team as such. Methodology: A quantitative method was used for the research survey. A questionnaire collection, where the target groups were nurses working in a multidisciplinary team caring for the elderly. The questionnaire contained 22 closed questions, including one table. Results: The results show that the nurses perceive the contribution of the multidisciplinary team positively as such. Nurses have been shown to feel as complete members of multidisciplinary teams and to work with other members to meet the needs of their patients. Nurses working in functioning multidisciplinary teams also have a better overview of the individual needs of their patients and, with information from the multidisciplinary team, are able to provide better nursing care. Nurses also consider the sharing of information within the multidisciplinary team to be positive. Conclusion: We conclude that a well-functioning multidisciplinary team of nurses is an integral part of proper and quality patient care. The results of this work could be beneficial in the field of education, practice.
The Status of a Nurse in the Past, Present and Future
POSPÍŠILOVÁ, Vladimíra
Studying the status of a nurse throughout the history is connected to a historical knowledge, which can be characterized as a realization of connections between the past, present and future. Knowledge of history helps to better understand social development and it´s influence on the profession of a nurse. It also enables us to properly understand the tendencies and problems affecting nursing care. Studying the history is therefore a fundamental requirement to have an overview of the field and to gain a complex knowledge. The expert´s opinions on the level of knowledge differs up to a certain point. On the one hand there is a view among the experts, that medical personnel know the history of their profession, on the other hand many experts let it be known, that nurses often underestimate the importance of knowing their profession´s history. They do not realize, that studying history is the very thing to help them understand the essence of their profession and their role in nursing care. The aim of the presumptive thesis is to analyze the status of a nurse in the past and present. Then, based on this analysis, create a vision of the status of a nurse in the future. The intention is also to concretize the image of the future of the nursing care. This thesis has a theoretical character and is approached as an analytical study. Methods of description and text hermeneutics are used to analyze the documents. The thesis is divided into three parts. The first part deals with historical development of the status of a nurse. It contains contemplation on the topicality of studying the history of nursing and evaluation of the history´s influence on the development of nursing care. The second part is devoted to the current status of a nurse. It contains evaluation of nursing as a profession, the role of a nurse and their competences. It also brings attention to the current education and the view of society on nurses. The third part deals with the expected status of nurses in the future. It formulates a vision of the future and looks into future technologies. It also describes the principles of transhumanism as a social and philosophical movement. It predicts personal requirements and education of nurses in the future. The merit of this thesis is above all creating a vision of the future from the viewpoint of anticipated social changes and their impact on the future development of nursing care and the status of a nurse. The results of this thesis can be used in education and professional training of nurses, in creating an objective picture for the public and to better the status of nurses in society. For the sake of clarity, the results are contained in the conclusion of the thesis in a form of individual topics. The resulting initiatives can be used to update methodology guides, curriculums and directives for organizing and managing health care facilities as well as to make conceptions and plans to advance nursing care in the future.

It is the driving force for most changes, including changes in education. The patients thought that the biggest change was modern equipment, new aids and devices in health facilities. They also mentioned innovations in the education of nurses and they agreed with the changes. The patients rated nursing care as a highly professional, expert and demanding field. They understood that more and more demands were being placed on the nurses. Moreover, the patients described the profession as prestigious, but also said that the public should be more informed about it. Conclusion: It is certain that nursing care will be influenced by further advances and innovations because science and technology cannot be stopped. In this context, the demands on nursing personnel will increase and the patients will be more demanding as well. Therefore, it is necessary to continue working on nursing care. The Role of Nurse in the Prevention of Disease of Civilisation
PAVLOVÁ, Martina
The current state Prevention is a complex care of a patient when we are trying to prevent from the occurrence or development of a disease, or when we want to prevent from its consequences and mitigate them. Recommendations for prevention set by a doctor must be on a scientific basis, and they must be a part of all branches of medicine. Their effectiveness depends on the cooperation between patients and medical staff. The basic and most efficient method of prevention is the health promotion and health education, which is closely associated with it. The term health promotion involves a set of activities and precautions for the purpose of making health better and sustaining it. Diseases of civilisation (hereinafter "DoC") are groups of diseases which are distinguished by their association to our lifestyles. Human body is more and more threatened from unfavourable influences of external environment, such as the quality of atmosphere, work environment and environment itself, the lack of physical movement, unhealthy diet, smoking, and alcohol consumption. The list of diseases of civilisation varies and changes together with our society and the development of our lifestyles. Among the most common or frequent diseases of current time are cardiovascular diseases, which involve atherosclerosis, hypertension, myocardial infarction, stroke, coronary artery disease and obesity. Furthermore, between civilization diseases include diabetes mellitus type 2 or cancer, etc. The goal of the thesis There are two goals set for this paper. The first goal was to find out what the role of a nurse in the prevention of diseases of civilisation was. The second goal was to find out what the above mentioned role of a nurse was from the point of view of patients. Methodology For the purpose of the research part of this thesis, qualitative research using semistructured interviews was carried out. Respondents were divided into two groups; the first one consisted of eight nurses working at internal medicine and neurological department of the hospital in České Budějovice and a nurse working in a private office of a general practitioner for adult patients. The second group consisted of eight patients of the above mentioned health facilities. Results According to our findings, nurses and patients have different oppinions on the role of a nurse. Nurses in disease prevention see themselves as an equivalent to a doctor when undertaking this practice and giving guidance. The patient speaks only to the nurse who emphasized what they were told by the doctor and reiterated the main points. They make available to them leaflets and brochures or Internet resources. In contrast, most patients see a nurse as a more important source of information than the doctor. Patients have the feeling that the doctor does not have enough time or does not want to be botherd with questions. Rather the patient turns to his nurse, which they sees as more appropriate and someone to whom they can confide in without bothering. Summary The goal of the thesis was to focus on prevention, DoC, and the role of a nurse in the prevention of such diseases, as well as to study this issue, look at it from the point of view of patients and nurses via the interviews carried out in this paper, and to analyse such information. Based on this analysis are published recommendations for nurses and patients.
