Verification of the Relationship between Stock Density and Transparency of Water
CHMELICKÝ, Petr
The given study reveals results which were obtained after having conducted a survey on the physical and chemical properties of water including its transparency, along with zooplankton sampling and the measurement of dynamics related to fish stock growth. This research was conducted in three different ponds with surface areas of 68.2 ha, 48 ha and 5.5 ha, situated in the Protected Landscape Area of Český ráj (Bohemian Paradise). These ponds were stocked with carp in the age group from K2 to Kv, at an initial weight of fish stock 196 kgxha-1, 102 kgxha-1 and 127 kgxha-1. The ponds in question were selected so that they either differ in size, or in the intensity of their fish farming. Plankton samples were collected by using the Schlott Fichtenbauer Bauer probe based on the principle of a Schindler-Patalas plankton trap.
Effect of ponds and pond systems on the composition of the benthos in horní Lužnice
SVAČINA, Petr
The work is focused on monitoring changes in benthic communities in the longitudinal gradient of the river Lužnice. The river flows through to the pond area Třeboňsko and the largest pond of the Czech Republic - Rožmberk. It is examine affect of pond on benthic communities. The work involves collecting benthos according to the PERLA method on four profile in four seasons, the analysis of chemical parameters and data processing. The values of SI (saprobiological index) in the longitudinal gradient were from SI 1.8 to SI 2.6. SI values were at the outflow of Rožmberk higher than at inflow. The lowest values were in the first profile Suchdol (SI 1,8 ? SI 2,1) and higher values were in the last profile Vlkov (SI 2,4 ? 2,6). The chemical parameters at outflow were observed increased values of BOD5, TOC, NL105, NL505, chlorophyll and total P but lower values of nitrogen forms (Ntotal,NH4, N-NO3-). On the each profile was the significant change in the incidence or absence of certain groups. Profiles Suchdol and Hlína were diferent than Lužnice and Vlkov especially in the presence of stoneflies, dragonflies, beetles, and individuals generally indicates good water quality. Profiles at outflows from Rožmberk (Lužnice and Vlkov) showed a continued presence of bloodsuckers and more species indicating high organic pollution. NMDS method confirmed impact of sites in communities rather than period (R2 = 0.6 at significance level of p = 0.001).
The use of historical water management measures in the draft plan of common facilities
PROCHÁZKOVÁ, Iva
This bachelor thesis deals with the history of ponds in southern Bohemia. Mainly with the Trebon ponds system. It describes the origins of these constructions and subsequently their declines during centuries in details. The first part of the thesis outlines the impetuses to the creation of the Czech ponds and the stages of the evolution including the golden age. It presents the profession of fish farmers who used to use measuring devices. The second part deals with the biographies of the three most famous architects and their projects. The main topic of the final part is the decline of fish farming after the thirty years long war. The main goal of this bachelor thesis is to describe the evolution of ponds in the south Bohemian region, to draw the historical events which led to the change of the closed marshy landscape to the landscape with the large bodies of water which has partly survived.
Effect of carp feeding on species composition and dynamics of zooplankton in ponds
ŠAUER, Pavel
Aim of this thesis was an analysis of the feeding influence on species composition and dynamics of zooplankton. The ponds were stocked with common carp (Cyprinus carpio). The theoretical part describes the planktonic communities, seasonal dynamics of zooplankton, pond management, food of carp and methodology. The practical part deals with, based on sampling, analysis of species composition and dynamics of zooplankton.
Vliv hospodářských zásahů na změnu v biologické rozmanitosti ve zvláště chráněných územích: Monitorování změn biologické rozmanitosti v NPR Bohdanečský rybník a rybník Matka
Agentura ochrany přírody a krajiny ČR, středisko Pardubice ; Veselý, Jiří ; Rejl, Jiří ; Baťová, Lenka ; Prausová, Romana

Spreading of Bryozoa Pectinatella magnifica in Třeboňsko region
LUKEŠOVÁ, Petra
Pectinatella magnifica is a fresh water invertebrate colonial animal originating from North America which spreading, throughout Europe as well as Asia, has recently reached a characteristics of invasion. Charakter of the colonies, their seasonnal dynamics and other development aspects have been studied at six destinations in South Bohemia (lake Cep, Nový Lipnický pond, Hejtman pond, Nový Kanclíř pond, Vlkov sandpit and Hnevkovice water reservoir). Repeated biomass quantitative collections have been carried out in 10 m transects alongside the shoreline. Also the environmental factors have been found out (temperature, conductivity, water reactions, transparency, trophia, colonies substrate) and charakteristics of individual invaded reservoirs. The list of currently known destinations has been completed with another reservoirs into which the species has spread out.
Evaluation of carp fish-scale reading production indicators in fishponds
PETR, Miloš
The main fish in the Czech pond aquacultures is Cyprinus carpio (common carp). All forms of carp feed on natural food and additionally they are fed with bread cereals. In the literary review I will describe the various cereals, which are used in carp-scale reading. Further I'll try to focus on the editing posibilities of the various cereals to increase their productive effectivity. In the chapter "Results and discussion" I will describe the characteristics of growth and condition indicators of experimental fish stocks during the growing season, in experimental ponds in South Bohemia, near the city of Třeboň. Finally, I review the results and try to propose some ways to use different feeds in working practices.
SEASONAL DEVELOPMENT OF ZOOPLANKTON - COMPARISON OF DIFFERENT WATER BODIES
KOSÍK, Miroslav
Structure and seasonal dynamic of zooplankton and hydrochemical and limnological parameters were studied in different type of small water bodies. Twelve localities of shallow standing waters were selected from four varied biotopes - pools, ponds, sink, surface depression, mining potholes and larger reservoirs like flooded excavated hollow. Zooplankton was primarily determinated by external factors influencing the overall character of water ecosystem and internal factors like fish stock and content of organic matter. Zooplankton species composition exhibits distinctive differences in the individual types of localities as well as in the season. Higher species diversity was recorded in pools, mesotrofic water bodies were considered as localities with lower species diversity. Results of this observation should be useful for water locality planning and management in restoration process in post-mining landscape.
