Cyrnerová, Jana ; Vágner, Lukáš (referee) ; Jura, Pavel (advisor)
Urban solutions originated from a basic composition assumption, which was to complete spatial and functional architecture of a city block. When searching for a concept of urban design, it has been taken into account the scale of the city, the historic center, the surrounding objects, and especially the land and its character. The shape of the plot, respecting the height level of the surrounding buildings, orientation to the cardinal directions and functional land use, are the main factors influencing the design of the object. Due to efforts to divert traffic from the city center, the entrance to the underground garage and all supplies are from the street Sokolská. The designed objet is divided into horizontal mass one-floor commercial parterre, inserted under three apartment houses brought up by columns. The accretion of matter towards the west responds to the topography of the surrounding buildings. By the mutual shifting of the horizontal parterre mass in the middle part, a two yards form. One oriented towards the historical center - there are shops, services, cafe and entrances to apartment houses. The second yard is purely operational, technical - there is also the entrance to underground garage, supply, technical support of commercial space and apartment houses. The aim was to create a simple and functional solution, both from the operational point of view as well as from the aesthetical. One of the main objectives was to create comfortable rooms and living with plenty of daylight. Regular mass and grid of the facade of the apartment houses, which is vertically divided by garnish from glass cement plates contributes to more orderly urban development of the city.
