Continually, I used the method of participant observation while monitoring the interest in artwork contained in books. Subsequently, children selected the favourite books. The method of participant observation was applied again in this part. Results: Through the realized survey, I found that a classic fairy-tale is an unsubstitutable element in children development. However, it must be presented in such a language form which is comprehensible for children. Illustrations accompanying the story are very useful. Author's fairy-tale affects children very significantly so it is necessary to choose topics of appropriate quality. Both types of fairy-tales are indispensable factors for proper development of intellectual, emotional and ethical part of child's character and they are interesting and stimulating for children. Benefits of the thesis: The results of the thesis allow organizing and realizing activities in nurseries in a way that is suitable and valuable for children.
