Southbohemian shepherds of poetic words

The presented diploma thesis maps as well as reflects poetic works of seven contemporary South Bohemian poets whose works were significant in 90s and they overlap to current times. To certain extent these poets stand unjustly on the periphery of reader's and critic´s perception of the Czech literature. Namely the poetic works of Vít Erban, Roman Szpuka, František Klišík, Jiří Staněk, Radek Štěpánek, Jan Frolík and David Jan Žák. Besides the analysis of their individual collections the thesis outlines partial poetical universality of mentioned authors. In methodological part of the work the author briefly explains the historical development of hermeneutics. Then he puts this interpretational method and the theory of reception into the confrontational scope with interpretational tendencies in work of Roland Barthese and Susan Sontag. The real picture of paradigm of contemporary literary theory is determined on the resulted premises of these explanatory. The diploma thesis also contains a brief explanation of current Czech poetry. This chapter serves as demarcation of certain literary context in which the collections of the South Bohemian poets emerge.
