Analysis of filler types onto the wood plastics composites
Blaha, Lukáš ; Pospíšil,, Ladislav (referee) ; Vaněrek, Jan (advisor)
Wood polymer composite (WPC) is a material that combines the wood material and the thermoplastic matrix. As filler to be used as wood flour and thermoplastic matrix will be used in primary or recycled polypropylene. WPC will be made by injection molding. The aim of the thesis is to find the optimal ratio between primary and recycled polymer in which the result will be the best physical and mechanical properties.
Design of vapor proof protective coating for concrete with chemical resistance
Fousková, Marika ; Hodná, Jana (referee) ; Drochytka, Rostislav (advisor)
The main content of the bachelor's thesis is to design a vapor-tight chemically resistant coating using secondary raw materials. Coatings are applied primarily for the purpose of protecting concrete structures that are exposed to chemical stress. Secondary raw materials are used in the coating in the form of a microfiller, which is evenly dispersed in the polymer matrix. The proposed coatings show high adhesion to concrete, excellent workability and applicability, while the filler in the form of secondary raw materials does not impair the properties of the coating, both in fresh and polymerized state.
Development of a thermal insulating material designed for use with high temperature
Dokoupil, Martin ; Frajt, Daniel (referee) ; Drochytka, Rostislav (advisor)
The work deals with the development of a new thermal insulation material that contains a secondary raw materials or waste. It is an insulating material with the requirement of resistance to high temperatures - 200 ° C and 500 ° C. Type of material is determined by the way of reducing density - direct and indirect. Direct is achieved by adding lightweight aggregates, indirect is achieved by gas evolution through chemical reaction and the subsequent incorporation of gas into the structure of the material. This thesis is part of the MPO TIP č. FR-TI 2/340 project.
Development of polymer repair materials using secondary raw materials
Juřička, Viktor ; Vyhnánková, Michaela (referee) ; Drochytka, Rostislav (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the development of polymeric repair mortars in two qualitative levels ECONOMY and PREMIUM, designed especially for heavy engineering plants and the energy industry. In order to effectively withstand difficult industrial conditions, the developed materials should meet the highest requirements such as increased chemical and heat resistance, excellent adhesion to the concrete substrate, minimal shrinkage and other physical and mechanical properties. The PREMIUM level is aimed to achieve maximum physical and mechanical properties. Within the economy version, the emphasis is placed not only on very good properties, but also the possibility capability of reducing price of the resulting material. The partial aim of this work is the efficient use of secondary raw materials, mainly based on industrial waste in the form of fillers to the developed polymeric repair mortars.
Vliv ligninu ve funkci plniva na pevnost lepených spojů materiálů na bázi dřeva
Klonová, Sára
Analysis of the effect of lignin added in various amount to binders containing thermoreactive resins commonly used for bonding wood-based materials is a main theme of this thesis. Itʼs also related to a similar problem analysed in the bachelor thesis – influence of added lignin into heat-activated adhesives, so it can complete already obtained results with some new findings by a change of analysed wood-based material. Practical part of this thesis is focused on a strength of adhesive joints bonded with binders that contain different amount of lignin. Adhesives are applied on a surface of testing samples made of ash and larch and then climatized in a various moisture condition. The tensile strength, shear tensile strength and flexural strength of adhesive joints are being tested. Thesis provides application of obtained results of utilisation of lignin as filler of adhesives used for bonding wood-based materials exposed to specific physical – mechanical factors in practice.
Development of adhesive material for installation of cast basalt elements on metal base
Šikral, Martin ; Hodná, Jana (referee) ; Drochytka, Rostislav (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the development of polymeric adhesive material for the installation of cast basalt elements on a metal surface. The aim of this work is a development of the new adhesive material for the fixing of cast basalt elements to a metal base in high chemical stress environment and at higher temperature conditions. Furthermore, the thesis explores the possibility of using secondary raw materials as a substituttion of primary materials in the form of fillers. The thesis is also focuses on the determination of the advanced testing methods to verify the properties of devoloped adhesive materials, including monitoring the microstructure of the contact zone between the adhesive material and the surface.
Filling of Polyurethanes
Bečka, Filip ; Poláček, Petr (referee) ; Kučera, František (advisor)
Bachelor thesis focuses on preparation of filled polyurethanes, determination of tensile properties, hardness and measurement of IR spectra. Theoretical part is devoted to main components of polyurethane systems and the most common inorganic, particulate filler and summarises knowledge about application of mineral fillers into polyurethane matrix. In experimental part was developed method of application of fillers into polyurethane and test specimens were prepared. Dispersion of fillers into polyol and affected workability was investigated. For examination of test specimens 3 methods were used: FTIR spectroscopy, tensile testing and hardness measurement. FTIR spectroscopy was used to investigate conversion of free isocyanate groups an OH groups. Tensile testing proved toughness of material and tensile modulus was determinated. Conformity of strength and stress at break and also conformity of strain at strength and strain at break was found. No yield point was observed for the specimens. Hardness of specimens was measured by the Shore A method.
Photopolymerization kinetics of dimethacrylate dental resin
Vaněk, Martin ; Bystřický, Zdeněk (referee) ; Poláček, Petr (advisor)
Aim of magister´s thesis was to study reaction kinetics of dental materials. Thesis was focused on dimethacrylate dental polymers, which are for example used for dental restoration, tooth repair and creating now teeth. First part of the thesis concentrates on influence of molar ratio on reation kinetics by addition of other monomer to polymer resin. Second part concentrates on influence of addition of additive silica on reaction kinetics of polymerization. Essential variables know as a polymerization ratio, conversion, gel point, glass transition temperature and storage modulus were studied. Firstly, polymerization ratio and conversion were observed by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). Secondly rheology was observed by photoreometr. Finally, glass transition temperature and storage modulus were observed by dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA). Behaviour changes caused by addion of monomer or filler point out decrease of polymeration ratio and converstion. Same behaviour was observed by short exposure. In order to established network formation, values of gel point increased by higher concentration of monomer or filler. Glass transition temperature and storage modulus measured by DMA were evaluated. Those valuables had variable tendency due to monomer acting like filler at higher concentration. Also contradictory impact of different material conversion and filler concetration was discussed.

Evaluation of local filler sources suitability for anhydrite-based screeds
Šikral, Martin ; Kaláb, Michal (referee) ; Drochytka, Rostislav (advisor)
Goal of this thesis is to evaluate suitability of local filler sources for anhydrite based screed floor covers. The theoretical part is mostly aimed at summarization of general findings about flooring constructions and about anhydrite itself. The thesis also includes description of primary and secondary raw materials. The goal of this work is to suggest suitable fillers for anhydrite based screed floor covers in accordance with distance from Sika CZ, s.r.o with residence in Brno – Modrice. At the same time this thesis explores possibility of secondary raw materials usage as a replacement of primary fillers. In conclusion the thesis focuses on the laboratory test of chosen fillers, summarization and discussion of discovered findings.
