Predikace druhového složení těžeben na základě biotopového mapování okolní krajiny: využití charakteristických druhů vyšších rostlin
SLABA, Michal
The surrounding habitats play an important role in the spontaneous vegetation succession in disturbed sites. They serve as donor sites for species colonizing various post-mining sites from the close surrounding. This diploma thesis deals with the species composition in post-mining sites and the surrounding habitats up to the 1 km distance from the locality. The results indicate, that basalt quarries share the largest amount of species with their surrounding habitats. The studied methods have got limited capability to predict the species composition of post-mining sites using only the knowledge about habitat types occurred in the surrounding. On the other hand, species composition of the surrounding habitats, defined by a selection of the representative relevés of the Czech National Phytosociological Database (CNFD), seems to be more promising approach. It could provide more precise results applied in ecological restoration of post-mining sites in the Czech Republic.

ZAHRADKA, Aleš
This bachelor thesis summarises knowledge of value of quarries in the landscape. The thesis includes a project proposal focused on study an occurrence of target species in the surroundings of abandoned limestone quarries in the Bohemian Karst.
Botanical survey of a restored segment of the Jedlový stream (Šumava National Park)
PETRŮ, Jan
The thesis is part of project "Bohemian Revitalization of wetlands and peatlands". The aim is to catch up the current state (before revitalization) of vegetation and flora with possibility of the existence of rare endagered species in Fir Stream plains in the Southern Bohemia, district Prachatice, cadastral area Volary. There was engaged generic list of plants in this interest locality. There was defined by the 6 permanent areas with dimensions 4x4 m. I made a complete inventory of all found species. Overall, it was found 38 plant species: 11 monocotyledonous plants, 25 dicotyledonous plants and 2 bryophytes.

We focused on elucidating the impact of elevated temperature on rapid induction of zeaxanthin (Z)- dependent photoprotection in two different plant species. The dynamics of violaxanthin (V) de-epoxidation under different illumination regimes was studied together with chlorophyll a fluorescence transients in Picea abies seedlings and Arabidopsis thaliana leaves pre-acclimated to temperatures ranging from 20 to 40°C. Whereas for spruce seedlings the rapid phase of V de-epoxidation (induced by either 10 s illumination or 10 light pulses 1 s in duration at 1 min intervals) was gradually stimulated upon increasing temperatures, for A. thaliana leaves considerable acceleration of V de-epoxidation occurred only at 40°C. Moreover, only for spruce seedlings was a considerable amount of Z accumulated after 10 × 1 s illumination. Elevated temperatures stimulated rapid formation of Z-dependent non-radiative dissipation of excitation energy within photosystem II (NRD) induced by 1 s light pulses only for spruce seedlings. The possible role of a specific fatty acid composition in spruce thylakoid membrane lipids in facilitated V de-epoxidation and NRD induction at elevated temperatures is discussed.
Botanical survey of the disturbed part of the Hučina stream (Černý Kříž, Šumava Mts.)
LAZÁRKOVÁ, Kateřina
The thesis is part of the project ?Bohemian Revitalization of wetlands and peatlands?. The aim is to capture the current state of vegetation and flora, with an emphasis on the existence of rare or endangered species in Hučina plains in the southeastern part of the Bohemian Forest. A generic list of sites added phytosociological images taken during the field survey. The area was defined by the 26 permanent plots. The grasslands of the plains area had dimensions 4 × 4 m, in the original channel and channel Hučina main drainage trench 8 × 2 m and forested floodplain of the 10 × 10 m in these areas. I made a complete inventory of all species found and I identified the vegetation cover. Species were recorded after the floors ? floor starting tree. Overall, it was found 106 plant species and 7 species of lichens. Most plant species occurring in individual areas belonged to bryophytes.
