Measurement of quality of gamma-cameras

The topic of this bachelor thesis is the measurement of the gamma cameras’ quality. First, we will focus on the general methodology of imaging in gamma-imaging systems, on the particular types of constructions and technical parameters influencing the resulting imaging quality. In the practical part of the thesis we will pay attention to the methodology of measurement of particular technical parameters within planar or SPECT gamma cameras in a planar mode and their realisation at the Clinic of Nuclear Medicine, Faculty Hospital Brno. The measurement follows the recommendations of the State Office for Nuclear Safety and of the particular gamma camera producer. In conclusion, the stability of a particular quantitative parameter will be evaluated.
