Supervision in education
ŠLEISOVÁ, Jana
The bachelor thesis focuses on the topic of supervision in education. Supervision is almost unknown in most schools. It acts as an independent professional support for professionals. It is used in fields where intensive work is done with relationship or emotions. The condition of supervision is voluntary. The school supervisor works with adults and their opinions, emotions, relationships, and problems. At present, supervision is more often used in consulting or in education. It is basically an educational activity, a way to self-knowledge. Through it, the work with relational issues is improved, which is important in the teaching profession. The aim of this work is to analyse and describe the current attitude of pedagogical workers in education to supervision. A partial goal is to create a recommended procedure for the introduction of supervision in selected schools. A qualitative method, a method of interviewing and an uncontrolled interview technique were used to fulfil the above-mentioned goal. Based on these findings, it was recommended to introduce supervision to selected schools. At the same time, these findings revealed the specifics of introducing supervision into education. Supervision in education has an educational function, the target groups are pupils, supervised teachers, and supervisors.
