The principles of protection and restoration of greenery in urban conservation zones: The certified methodology 1/2015-050

The methodology establishes principles for the protection, restoration and care of greenery in specific areas with cultural and historical values –- urban conservation zones. Attention is therefore focused partly on the development of instruments in the context of urban planning documentation – determination of the conditions for the protection of the heritage value and character of the territory, partly on the technologies of restoration, development and maintenance care for the various types of greenery areas and a choice of oody plant assortment. Management of the greenery is developed in relation to differentiation of urban conservation zones according to their importance for the composed territory. This methodology follows the methodology Evaluation of greenery in urban conservation zones (Sojková, Širina 2014).

Evaluation of greenery in urban conservation zones: A certified methodology

The methodology sets out the criteria, descriptors and the procedure of the qualitative evaluation of greenery in urban conservation zones as background for its protection or restoration. It is a methodological support of the unified systematic documentation of the current state of greenery in urban conservation zones in each of the regions, including the design of a map database in the program ArcGIS with the option to use it in the information system of the National Heritage Institute.
